NWR: Getting to know you!

Do you have any furbabies? If so, how many/what kind/etc?

What was the last book you read? Read any you'd recommend?

Who is the cook: you, FI/DH, neither?

Have you ever met anyone famous?

Is there a quote/motto that you live by?

What would you "do" if you won the lottery? (ie: Work, not work? Travel?)

Do you have any furbabies? If so, how many/what kind/etc? None yet - we want to get a couple of dogs (one small, one large) but that will be in 2 years or so.

What was the last book you read? Read any you'd recommend? I am currently reading "Total Money Makeover"; I haven't gotten too far into it, but so far so good. Books I'd recommend: The "New" Birth Order Book, 5 Love Languages, any of the first 2 bridal books out by Nora Roberts (set of 4), Jodi Piccoults first novels, Jane Greene novels

Who is the cook: you, FI/DH, neither? FI was the cook when we first started dating. Currently, neither of us do much cooking. Starting soon (and continuing after we're married) it will either be a joint effort or myself.

Have you ever met anyone famous? Nope, and I don't really get *starstruck* very easily. However, put me in the same room with Josh Turner (a country singer) and we may have a different story... lol j/k

Is there a quote/motto that you live by? I wake up every morning determined both to change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning the day a little difficult.

What would you "do" if you won the lottery? (ie: Work, not work? Travel?) I'd travel and then still "work" but make it something that I LOVE to do, even if it paid very little/nothing (ie: volunteer work, playing with kids, honing my artsy side)

Hammysgirl- I <3 Josh Turner too!

Do you have any furbabies? If so, how many/what kind/etc?
We have one dog, her name is Libby.  She is like our child, lol.  FI never had any pets growing up, so she pretty much gets away with everything.  We're working on it:)  She is a rescue, so we aren't sure what she is exactly, but she is part mini schnauzer part either poodle or bichon.

What was the last book you read? Read any you'd recommend?  I am currently reading Naturally Thin by Bethenny Frankel, it's great.  It's helping me reach my weight loss goals before the wedding/HM!  I'd recommend any book by Jen Lancaster, I love her!

Who is the cook: you, FI/DH, neither?    I'm the cook, FI grills when there isn't a foot of snow on the ground!  I love to try new recipes, and he loves eating them so it works out.  I'd like to get more creative in my cooking this year.

Have you ever met anyone famous?    When I was younger I saw Willem Dafoe(sp?)  at the Orlando airport, but he was just walking by.

Is there a quote/motto that you live by?   No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.  Eleanor Roosevelt.

What would you "do" if you won the lottery? (ie: Work, not work? Travel?)
I would still teach, I really do love my job.  But I would travel and volunteer in the summer.  FI and I would love to see so many things in this world, and be able to give back.  Pay it forward.

Do you have any furbabies? If so, how many/what kind/etc?
Yes! We adopted Colt, the Labradoodle (50% Lab, 50% Standard Poodle) in March. He'll be 1 on January 1st, and is still such a bundle of energy. He's full-grown at 55 pounds. Two weeks ago, we impulsively adopted a Schnoodle (50% Mini Schnauzer, 50% Standard Poodle). His name is Baxter (think about the dog in Anchorman!) and will get to be 15-20 pounds. They are our kids too!!! :)

What was the last book you read? Read any you'd recommend? The White Queen by Philippa Gregory (The Other Boleyn Girl). LOVE her writing!

Who is the cook: you, FI/DH, neither?    FI is definitely the cook. I like to bake, and do make a pretty mean grilled cheese though!!! I would really like to start cooking more. Maybe that will be a goal after the wedding!

Have you ever met anyone famous?    If I have, I didn't realize it! :)

Is there a quote/motto that you live by?   Things happen for a reason. Learn from hardships and mistakes and move on!

What would you "do" if you won the lottery? (ie: Work, not work? Travel?)
I would payoff our house and buy a new one and try to save the rest for the future (kid's education, etc.). I would also continue to work, but I would want to definitely do some traveling with the money in the meantime.

Do you have any furbabies? If so, how many/what kind/etc? Gertie is a Vizsla Lab Mix. She is our baby. I love how my FI has adopted her into his world b/c she came with me, and at first she used to get on his nerves, but now he loves her as much as I do!

What was the last book you read? Read any you'd recommend? I recommend 52 Fights by Jennifer Patterson. I met her at a blogging event and she is a real sweetheart. She wrote this book about her first year of marriage and it has some great insights in it.

Who is the cook: you, FI/DH, neither?Me! And I get together with my two girlfriends every Thursday night for food and wine. We call it Fire & Wine night b/c I have caught two fires. :)

Have you ever met anyone famous? Carson Kresley (From Queer Eye for the Straight Guy) Ree of The Pioneer Woman blog (Since she now has a best-selling cookbook, I can call her famous, right?)

Is there a quote/motto that you live by? Keep it Quirky! :)

What would you "do" if you won the lottery? (ie: Work, not work? Travel?)Probably focus on my writing and travel. Also adopt more dogs! And buy everything from Anthropologie.

Do you have any furbabies? If so, how many/what kind/etc? We have 1 cat named Rukia. She's 3 years old, and she's a brat. She doesn't listen very well, and she is very hyper. I love her, though. She's very cute and can be sweet when she wants to be.

What was the last book you read? Read any you'd recommend? I'm currently reading Three Cups of Tea, and it is very good. Books I reccommend: House of the Spirits by Isabelle Allende is my favorite book. I would reccommend any of her books, actually. I also like Barbara Kingsolver. Life of Pi and White Oleander are good. I'm trying to think of others. I need to get back into reading more. I used to read quite a lot, but kind of stopped when I was in grad. school.

Who is the cook: you, FI/DH, neither? Me. I've been trying to cook more often the past couple months. FI never cooks.

Have you ever met anyone famous? I met Mr. McFeely from "Mr. Roger's Neighborhood" when I was about 4. I have his autograph. I also met Linda Brown from Brown vs. the Board of Ed. a couple years ago. I was interning at an agency in Topeka that works with the Brown Foundation, and she was there one day.

Is there a quote/motto that you live by? Not that I can think of.

What would you "do" if you won the lottery? (ie: Work, not work? Travel?) I would take a trip around the world and visit all the places I want to. I would probably still work because I would get bored if I didn't.

What was the last book you read? Read any you'd recommend?
It was probably a photography book.

Have you ever met anyone famous?
         No not really

Is there a quote/motto that you live by?
         "Life's a Bitch."
