OMG...they totally need to be paying me for marketing!

What info do you want?  My ceremony and reception are there on July 3rd...and I can do nothing but RAVE about them!!!  The most awesome people to work with...incredibly priced for everything you get...beautiful settings...

Ceremony:  Formal Gardens.  Zoo offers the Indoor Theatre as a contingent plan in case of rain, but we also had the option to use the Nairobi tent pavillion for the back-up cermony since our reception is there too. They do all the set up of the chairs and they offer someone to run the music if we just use a CD.  (You can have private musicians if you want.)  The zoo is providing us the wine, glasses, and table to have a wine ceremony during the ceremony.  They have the mic system for your officiant and for any readers. They also provide dressing rooms for ladies and gents as well as two DOC's!!!

Cocktail Hour: We're doing the African overlook.  The zoo will provide all the music if we want, or we can give them a CD and they'll play that for us.  We're paying the extra money to have the animals out during that time and to have the carousel running.  The zoo provides the appetizers and bar during this time.

Reception: We are using the Nairobi tent pavillion.  The other option is the African Lodge.  They do all the set up, linens, china, cake-cutting, 2 bars, we opted for hte buffet dinner as opposed to sit-down.

The zoo per person costs include: food, bar, linens, set-up and tear down, cocktail hour music and the food, cake cutting fees, wedding food tasting event, 2 month final walk-through, day-of-coordinators, and the rehearsal.

My FI is Italian...the head chef sat down with us and got FI's grandmas recipe for the Italian wedding soup!  We wanted wine instead of champagne at our sweetheart table...they are taking care of it. At the rehearsal, we can bring all of our escort cards, card box, cake cutting set, favors, etc and they will take care of setting everything up for us...so we don't have to worry about decorating anything.

I absolutely love them and highly recommend them!!!

Well I think  Nyrek said it all... Our ceremony and reception is also at the Toledo Zoo, but our reception will be held in the African Lodge...  I'm sorry to hear that noone has emailed you back, but I would try calling them... Colleen always emails me back right away, but one time she did tell me that my email went into her junk mail so maybe that is what happned.  Anyways like Nyrek said they are great to work with... They even offered us center pieces and a card box... They are very flexible with your needs!!! Good luck!

Whoa weird.  My name is actually Colleen too.  I rarely share my name with other people so I'm always initially confused when someone mentions a different Colleen...

    Haha!

Initial Thought: I'm going out to dinner with my mom tonight... how does this chick from the knot know that and why is she going to see me there tonight?

    *smacks hand to forehead* DOH!

    That's funny!

Colleen from the zoo is usually pretty good at getting back with people...but it seems like you'll have that covered now.
