Welcome Bags

I'm putting together Welcome Bags for our guest. We are having an out of town wedding so I have 40 rooms that are booked. We are staying at a resort so the room sizes vary from 2-6 people. I'm not sure how many bags to make, do I make a bag per couple or per reservation? My thought was to do a bag per reservation because I didn't want to make it into the big deal, I just wanted a nice simple little treat for the guest staying. This is what I'm putting into the bags.

Can Coozies
Water Bottle
Swedish Fish
Chex Mix
Local Popcorn

Re: Welcome Bags

  • I'd make a bag per couple.

But I'm a greedy fat kid who wouldn't want to share my delicious swedish fish.
  • I'd go with a bag per couple.  If you've got 6 people in a room and only 2 bottles of water in the bag, it seems a little odd to me.

  • I would also do a bag per couple, or enough for each person in that room to have their own water bottle. So if you do two water bottles per bag, and you have a family of four staying together in one room, I'd do two bags for them.

    You've got PM
  • Swedish fish are the sh*t.

I am adding them to the list of what to put in my welcome bags now, even though they have nothing to do with a Winter in the Woods wedding in Connecticut!

Or, maybe I will just get some for me to eat....

  • I was debating this too.  I'm doing a bag per couple.  I love the canvas bags at the (Knot) shop with city name on it, so I am most likely pruchasing those (I'm from NYC.)

  • I plan on making Welcome Bags also.  All of mine will be at a regular hotel so I have got to find out how they will let me hand my bags out.  Do I have to leave them behind the counter at the front and they hand them out.  (And hope they do not forget!!) Of can I get them in the rooms before they arrive.  We are still working on what hotel we are using.  Wedding is next year.  Hoping to get hotel set by the end of August.

I am includeing my son's favorite cookies and a emergency kti (Small first aid kit that I have purchaed from Walmat, Advil, Somethig for upset stomachs etc...)

Also, if they have children. I am doing a special bag per child that is appropriate for their age.

if you have them at the front desk to hand out usually they will do it for free - if you have them put into the rooms then my experience is that the may change you 2$ per bag / per room to be in room already
