Engagement photo location

Hi ladies,

I was wondering if you can recommend a nice place for engagement photo location. I don't want to do the park thing because our wedding photos is going to be there. I called black creek pioneer village and the distellery and they are expensive. I haven't heard back from the Royal Ontario Museum but I would think it would be expensive as well.

I want a place that has a bit of character. I know someone had posted a link to different places in Toronto to shoot pictures but I can't find it. I'm hoping to go somewhere for free.

We honestly just walked around east & west king street and the esplanade, taking pictures all over the place, and they turned out great! Check out the "married" section of the bio and the pictures are in one of the tabs.

Boston Images is a good way to find pictures of places for photos as well, and http://bluesixcreative.com/torontoweddingvenues/. Most are venues, but probably have some cool photo shoot links too.

Don Valley Brickworks is another great spot for not-so-traditional photos. I personally would have done the financial district though, and it's a ghost town on weekends (especially in the mornings).

I didn't use the photographer - a bride posted it as a good place to see venue pictures and I just passed it along. My photographer was Joni Allardyce (www.joniallardyce.com) - incredible!

We took our engagement photos at the beaches. Lots of different scenic views. We really liked them! The pics didn't even look like something taken in Ontario!

Thanks ladies. My photographer has a studio and he offered to do it there. There is apparently a nice location behind his studio.

We might go this route because my FI is not comfortable having a lot of people around watching us get our pictures taken. I on the other hand do not mind at all, I just would not want him frowning that day..LOL!

Kensington Market is also great.... a friend of mine had theirs done there and they turned out gret
