Re: What do you want to do career-wise/ what are you studying for?

  • Finished my Bachelors in Business and Marketing in 2007. Graduating this year with my Masters in Adult Education and Training. Networking with others and applying my experience in adult education into an adjunct teaching position upon graduation. I also own my own jewelry company where I make Swarovski crystal jewelry and clutches.
  • Right now I'm studying English with a concentration on Comparative Literature and a minor in Spanish. I hope to teach high school English.
  • I'm an elementary education major, I'm only starting my second semester now, so I have quite a long way to go. That's what I get for wanting to major in radio broadcasting, changing my mind, and taking a year off to do absolutely nothing.
  • I just graduated in December a semester early with a B.S. In Animal and Poultry Science. I am going back to get a BSN through an accelerated program and then eventually MSN want to be a neonatal nurse practioner/family nurse practioner. I haven't decided yet. I really love babies and all, but it's probably more practical to be more general in this economy.. I find out in the next few weeks if I am accepted to the program I want (eeek!).

  • Hey everyone!

I've got a Bachelor's Degree in Psych from Virginia Tech, and now I'm in an ADN program in MD finishing in May 2011.  I'll get my CNA license in a few weeks and hopefully get an assistant job at a local hospital so I can have my foot in the door somewhere before I graduate.  Places around here don't do alot of outside hiring for RN positions, mostly just hiring from within.

Almost all the area hospitals have tuition reimbursement programs so my plan is to go back part time after our October 2011 wedding for my BSN/MSN.  Not sure what area I want to specialize in yet...but at least I'll get my RN.
  • Hi everyone!  I'm not on here much, but it's so great to be able to talk with other student brides-to-be!  I have a BA in English, and I graduate medical school this May.  I'm applying for a residency in OB/GYN, and I'm considering doing a fellowship after that (possibly in maternal fetal medicine, aka high risk obstetrics).  So I guess you could say that I want to be a doctor when I grow up :)
  • ajferree, i graduated from tech too!
  • I don't really do much commenting on here, but I was excited to see so many future nurses!

I'll be graduating in December 2011 (hopefully, but may have to put it off one more semester, sadly) with my BSN. Afterwords, I'm hoping to get a job in labor & delivery. Eventually, I want to go back to school and get my MSN to be a nurse-midwife!
  • I'm graduating May 2012 with a degree in Early Childhood Education, which allows me to teach preschool-3rd grade. :) I've always known I was destined to be a teacher and I adore kids.

My FI's is in Christian studies with a emphasis in youth ministry. He is currently a youth pastor at our church and he will go on to seminary after graduation.

However, we both have felt the call to be missionaries to a third world country so we will get around to that, eventually :)
