I needed to go for my annual check up for my lady parts. In the past I have gone to a PA working under an OB/GYN but figure that within a few years FI and I will be TTC, I should start getting comfortable with an OB/GYN. So I went to my new doctor, liked her, no problems. She refilled my prescription for my birth control. I am on the generic, Microgestrin. I go to pick up my Rx at CVS on Monday, and they say th doctor wrote the RX for Junel, a generic that is equivalent to what I take. I have taken Junel before though and reacted poorly to it--broke out, crazy emotional, moodswings non stop, weight gain--so I refuse to take it. CVS said since that's what the doctor wrote they couldn't sub it out. Call my doctors office and finally got in touch today with the receptionist. She claims the doctor wrote the right Rx but she'd call CVS.
A few minutes later CVS calls saying they have Microgestrin in stock and they got the right RX and it is all straightened out and I could pick up today. Seconds after hanging up with them the doctor's office calls back and the receptionist tells me CVS no longer carries Microgestrin so I'd just have to take Junel!!!!! Flat out lied! I picked up the call at work so I couldn't give her a piece of my mind so I just said Ok and hung up. Someone must have a quota to hit with their pharmaceutical rep! Needless to say I won't be going back there....no matter how great a doctor, I'm not going to an office where the staff lies, ignoring a patients well-being. eff that! I'm so stunned. It is all straightened out on my end until my next annual but jeez the nerve of people
