Bridal Jackets?!

I am getting married in the middle of January so I will be needing a jacket. Does anybody know where to find on that doesn't just cover your arms? I am only looking to spend at most $100 on one.
Is it okay to just buy a white wool/dress jacket?

I think it would be totally okay to just buy a white coat of any kind...I wouldn't bother with the fancy schmancy "bridal" ones...cuz you'll most likely be paying more for something that won't keep you as warm.

Do you know someone that sews?  My mom made a beautiful long cape for my sister for her winter wedding.  Capes are fairly easy to make and you can use very warm materials.  I think in total, buying material on sale, it came to around $60.00 and the time.  That might be a nice DIY project.

I ordered 2 yards of fabric from the company that made my dress and am having a seamstress make me a bolera. I have a pic in my bio. The fabric from the dress company cost $60. It was important for me that the fabric match my dress, but you could look at a fabric store and probably find something for less.

My dress is a lace, I had thought about ordering more and putting the same lace on the collar or trim.

I did a cape on 1/30/10 with a muff and we did lots of outdoor pictures and I was never too cold.  The cape was under $25 of materials.  I can send you pictures if you want and know someone who makes them (probably with labor it would be under $40).  email me if you want pictures (lrbrouwer@yahoo.com)
