Welcome Baskets

Hi everyone! We are doing welcome baskets since the majority of our guests will be traveling. We have the baskets, and we are all set as far as water/snacks. We just are not sure what else to put in them. My FI wanted something NJ related, but we are really stuck on what that would be.
Any suggestions would be great!

    Where is your wedding taking place? Maybe Salt Water Taffy if it is down the shore or south jersey?

    I'm not really doing anything NJ related in our bags. This is what we're doing:

    2 Water bottles with personalized labels that I made
    A personalized pen from Vistaprint
    Two large cookies tied in a clear bag
    A Small bag of pretzels
    A pack of pocket tissues
    An itinerary for the shuttle, timeline, etc.

    (we are doing chocolate for our favors, otherwise I probably would've included chocolate in the bags as well).
    I'm not really for including anything like advil or mints or gum. Any time I've received that stuff, it goes to waste, because I have my own already.

    We are getting married in Basking Ridge.

    Something personalized might be a good idea. We are doing chocolate for our favors as well. It is good to know you woudn't use that other stuff, we have been debating what else we should buy for the baskets.

    Hm, a few ideas from a Jersey native:

    I know you said you're set on snacks, but wanted to throw in one cute idea -get a cookie cutter in the shape of a rectangle and make a personalized jersey license plate or exit number cookie

    otherwise, maybe:
    -a travel size can of anti-friz hair spray
    -tylonel (J&J runs this place it seems)
    -guide to the closest shopping malls (if you have people with extra time to kill)

    We have Dunkin Donuts wherever you turn, so maybe a $5 DD gift card for when they are heading out of town.

    Unfortunately, you cannot put any of these things in a Welcome Basket! Haha. Disco fries, pork roll, sausuge sandwich,etc .

    Maybe you can find blueberry jam made from NJ blueberries (Hammonton, NJ is the Blueberry capital of the world.) NJ also has wineries. Tomasello's is a winery in South Jersey. Perhaps you can include a small bottle of wine (1 per couple).

    dont forget the advil!!  Personally I go threw them when I am drunk so I like things that I can eat or drink.  Anything else will probably get thrown out.

    Someone on here told me to contact the NJ Tourism Dept. and I did and got free maps, and NJ cute things to add to my bags...
