    ahhhh i forgot about the new board poll feature....is it super awesome and my old school poll is totally lame now?  if that's true and someone has tried the new one, feel free to do it the new and improved way.=)

    2. Favorite Thanksgiving food? Hmmm I love mashed potatoes and butternut squash but I especially love them on turkey day :)
    3. Favorite Thanksgiving memory? I don't know that I have a favorite
    4. WR thing you are grateful for? That I get to celebrate my marriage with my closest friends and family!
    5. NWR thing you are grateful for? Loving family
    6. Are you going shopping on Friday? Yes.. we are on a very tight budget this year with me being unemployed and with wedding expenses so we have to get all the deals we can!

    1. What are you doing on Thursday?  Dinner with the family (local)
    2. Favorite Thanksgiving food? Leftovers!  I know this is weird but I like to make a sandwich out of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and gravy on Italian bread.
    3. Favorite Thanksgiving memory? Last year when we first got our bunny, Phineas, I brought him over and my dad and uncle were obsessed with him. It was hilarious!
    4. WR thing you are grateful for? I've been getting along with FMIL and I feel like she's been making an effort to be nice.
    5. NWR thing you are grateful for?  That so many people love me and I love them!
    6. Are you going shopping on Friday?  Working from home :(

    Old school polls forever!

    1. What are you doing on Thursday? DH are I are leaving NYC tomorrow and will be at my great aunt and uncle's house on Thursday.
    2. Favorite Thanksgiving food? I looove stuffing, but for some reason this year I am having intense cravings for that sweet potato and marshmallow casserole thing!
    3. Favorite Thanksgiving memory? Thanksgiving 2007 was the last one with my beloved grandmother, and I brought CDs with piano accompaniment and sang for her and my family.  I wil never forget the look on her face.

    Also, I was born on Thanksgiving so I am always pretty excited when my birthday matches up with the holiday again.
    4. WR thing you are grateful for? We had gorgeous perfect weather after weeks of rain!
    5. NWR thing you are grateful for? DH and I have only spent Thanksgiving together once before, so this will be special!
    6. Are you going shopping on Friday?  Never- it literally doesn't interest me at all.  I DESPISE waiting in line!

    1. What are you doing on Thursday? Spending the long weekend with my parents and brother in New Jersey. I havent been home since before my wedding, way back in July or August, so I am really excited.
    2. Favorite Thanksgiving food? All of it, really. I love pies, I adore my mom's sausage stuffing, and her creamed onions are really good too.
    3. Favorite Thanksgiving memory? The truth is, I really started to enjoy the holidays when I got older and my parents sort of stopped trying to make the "family" thing happen--I.E., we just started having Thanksgiving with our own immediate family and good family friends instead of pressing relationships out of aunts and uncles, etc. We are really close and it made the holiday a lot more special to stay at home and have fun with one another.
    4. WR thing you are grateful for? Grateful the damn thing is over.
    5. NWR thing you are grateful for? Everything, really. A good job, a warm and cozy apartment, a strong marriage, my family, my health, and great friends. This year I am particularly thankful for my lot in life--I couldn't ask for anything more, really.
    6. Are you going shopping on Friday? Never. I love giving gifts but hate the commercialism. Always have. I'll probably be hiking on Friday with DH and my parents.

    Heading to FI's aunt and uncle's house

    Stuffing and pumpkin pie!

    3. Favorite Thanksgiving memory?
    Spending it with family.

    To see everything start to come together.

    5. NWR thing you are grateful for?
    To have studying done until January!

    6. Are you going shopping on Friday?
    Hmmm, maybe. I'll see what FI wants to do.

    1. What are you doing on Thursday? Having dinner with the fiancee's family without him there (ya being a firefighter and having to work on holidays) I might watch his sister run the briantree turkey trot
    2. Favorite Thanksgiving food? Sourcream beets
    3. Favorite Thanksgiving memory? I can't think of one :o/  Anyone I guess from my childhood with dinner at my grandparents.
    4. WR thing you are grateful for? my dad paying for most of it
    5. NWR thing you are grateful for? My fiancee being safe
    6. Are you going shopping on Friday? Nope, unless I can find a motorized scooter

    1. What are you doing on Thursday? Getting up early to start cooking, FI has to go to work at 5 so we'll snuggle up and watch the Macy's parade, have an early afternoon dinner and then he'll go to work and I'll probably drink wine and watch Thanksgiving specials. 

    2. Favorite Thanksgiving food? Stuffing and mashed potatoes

    3. Favorite Thanksgiving memory? Last year, FI asked me to marry him in Central Park!

    4. WR thing you are grateful for? The support from our family and friends, and all the excitement we're seeing.

    5. NWR thing you are grateful for? FI's love and presence in my life, our health, our families. 

    6. Are you going shopping on Friday? No, I'll be sleeping in and then heading up to my parents' house in Duxbury in the afternoon!

    1. What are you doing on Thursday?  Hosting our first Thanksgiving at our new house for FI's family. Yikes, this will be interesting!!
    2. Favorite Thanksgiving food?  Hmm... my family used to make chicken cutlets, but we're doing a turkey this year.  Maybe stuffing?
    3. Favorite Thanksgiving memory?  Don't have one.
    4. WR thing you are grateful for?  Finally setting a date!
    5. NWR thing you are grateful for?  Lots of good things this year, especially our beautiful new house!
    6. Are you going shopping on Friday?  I might hit a wedding dress store, however sadly, I might have to go by myself!  Or drag FI and make him wait outside... haha!

    MandahGirly! I used to live in Thompson, CT (or more specifically, North Grosvenordale) during my HS years! It really is in the middle of nowhere. What a small world!!

    1. What are you doing on Thursday? Driving from Hartford to Chelsea to Lowell to Nashua...
    2. Favorite Thanksgiving food? Green been casserole! Mmmm!!
    3. Favorite Thanksgiving memory? All the Thanksgivings before my grandmother died. :(
    4. WR thing you are grateful for? Joining our families together (although our families still celebrate separately!
    5. NWR thing you are grateful for? Seeing family members I haven't seen since last Thanksgiving!
    6. Are you going shopping on Friday? NO! I have to get up at 5am during school days. So I'm sleeping in.

    1. What are you doing on Thursday?

    Going to FI's grandmother's house--we're also celebrating my bday.  Then later on going to FI's OTHER grandmother's house.  She passed away last year, but her 2nd husband, son & grandson still live there.  If I can manage it, I'll try to sneak in some Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade & football--but that's not really their tradition.  I think I'm making cheesy potatos :)

    2. Favorite Thanksgiving food?

    Honestly, I am not a huge fan of Thanksgiving food.  It's fine, but never what I'd pick for my favorite meal.  I do love warm pumpkin pie with whipped cream on top.  Especially for breakfast.  One year I broke with tradition & made BBQ turkey legs (like you get at a Renaissance Fair).  They were SOOOOO delicious!

    3. Favorite Thanksgiving memory?

    Hmmm....either being a little kid & celebrating with my immediate family only (I'm with you spuccio--it get's too crazy with all the relatives), or when I made my first Thanksgiving all by myself.  I was super proud!

    4. WR thing you are grateful for?

    My fiance!  Laughing

    5. NWR thing you are grateful for?

    The fam.  Especially when I see how nutso/non-supportive other people's families can be.

    6. Are you going shopping on Friday?

    I doubt it.  FI & I wanted to go snowboarding, but the mountain's postponing it's opening: BOO!  I'd love to have a movie marathon.  It's been a few years since I've done that around the holidays.  Good times!

    I love a good ol' fashioned poll.  
    1. What are you doing on Thursday?     DH and I are heading to Methuen Wednesday night and hanging out with friends.  We are staying at my mom's and heading to Turkey Day meal #1 at my Aunts in Rye and then heading to MIL's for Turkey Day meal #2 and the night at her house with DH's family

    2. Favorite Thanksgiving food?  I love stuffing and a well cooked piece of turkey.  And a slice of Mann's apple, crumb top pie for dessert :-) 

    3. Favorite Thanksgiving memory?  My dad coached high school football and every year we would bundle up and head to his game.  Even though we spent dinner with my mom's side of the family, it was tradition that my father's side of the family would go to his games in the morning, so it was nice to see them.    Also, DH proposed the Sunday before Thanksgiving last year so it was great to visit everyone and show off the bling and celebrate.

    4. WR thing you are grateful for? Looking back on it I don't know what possessed me to get married in August outside...I love the heat, but the humidity doesn't usually love me.  I am grateful that after a week in the mid-90's we had a perfect mid-70 degree day and rain held out until everyone was on their way home after the reception.

    5. NWR thing you are grateful for?  I am grateful to be blessed with the great support system I have in my life, they will truly never know how they have helped me this past year.  I am grateful for a wonderful mother and brother and the best husband a girl could ask for. 

    6. Are you going shopping on Friday? Sad to admit after years of holding out on early AM shopping, but I think I am!  I only intend on hitting up 2 stores early in the morning and then leaving the madness for some QT with DH, family and friends.  A couple stores have great deals on things we were looking to purchase as presents...so I am justifying the ridiculous hour for the couple hundred that will be in my pocket after :-)

    Tough one, I love all family get togethers

    Im finally at peace with one of my bridesmaids, it lifts a huge weight off my shoulders.

    Such a supportive family and FI of course :)

    Nope I will be working, helping other brides find their wedding gowns!

    1. What are you doing on Thursday?  I will be going to FI's parents in the AM to eat a 5 course meal at 11:30am.   Then going to my parents house for another million course meal around 2.

    2. Favorite Thanksgiving food?  Fried turkey and Mashies

    3. Favorite Thanksgiving memory?  Its mixed with a bad one.  I only got to spend Thanksgiving with my Dad's family when my Grandmother died a few days before.  But it was nice to be with the other side of the family for a holiday.

    4. WR thing you are grateful for?  I'm grateful that I still have family that can drive me nuts.  My aunt died this Feb and my cousins cant complain about their crazy mom anymore and I'm glad that I still can as much as she drives me nuts.

    5. NWR thing you are grateful for?  I'm grateful that FI will do anything on earth to make our life better even though with us its always 2 steps forward 10 steps back.

    6. Are you going shopping on Friday?  I was going to go shopping Friday but my company decided to have a Black Friday Sale.

    3. Favorite Thanksgiving memory? The first major holiday after FI and I started dating was Thanksgiving. I was meeting his parents for the first time and his dad's family!
    4. WR thing you are grateful for? My parents paying for it.
    5. NWR thing you are grateful for? FI being his awesome self.
    6. Are you going shopping on Friday? No way. I do my shopping online so I don't have to deal with people.

    1. What are you doing on Thursday? Both DH and my families have flown out to LA to be with us.  My mom and sister are already here.  DH's parents, youngest sister & gradmother (all the way from London) arrive tomorrow and his older sister and her husband on wednesday!  Thursday we are having Tday on the Queen Mary to honor their British side. 
    2. Favorite Thanksgiving food? I'm a vegetarian so usually not my favorite holiday - but stuffing maybe? that isn't made inside the turkey?
    3. Favorite Thanksgiving memory? Don't really think I have one - but I love getting together with my moms extended family
    4. WR thing you are grateful for? That the wedding is over and we're spending our first Tday as husband and wife.  It was also our three year anniversary this week, we officially started dating while DH was driving me to the airport when I went home for Tday one year in college so it also makes me think of our beginning.
    5. NWR thing you are grateful for? Family & friends and the fact we were able to drag a fair amount out here to celebrate with us
    6. Are you going shopping on Friday? When I'm in Boston my friends and I go to Wrentham - but this year I will be missing that (and my 5th year HS reunion) and going wine tasting with our families here in california
