Has anyone used Jim Lee Catering or CN Catering?

I have to use one of the preferred caterers through our venue, and these are the two best options. From the sticky at the top, I don't see any knotties listed who have used either.

Anyone out there used them for their wedding and have an experience to share?

Food quality, presentation and level of service is super important to us!!

THANKS!

Here is a review I have on CN from Knottie Kris:

Caterer--CN Catering B Food was good, but definitely not as good as the tasting we had. Two weeks before the wedding I spoke to them to get all the details worked out, I told Kristin we waiting to get in contact with a few people before giving them a final count. We’re going over the menu and what she has is completely different from what I have. She looks and she finds the right paperwork, problem solved. Right? A week later, I call and give her the final count, Kristin tells me to expect the new quote shortly. I finally get it 3 days before the wedding and I get sticker shock. To add 50 more people was going to cost half of what it cost to feed 175! Apparently, they never charged us for fruit kabobs that we thought we paid for when we booked them. Thankfully, we had some last minute out of towners that were not going to be able to make it so we reduced the number to 25 extra. I really wish I had cancelled the fruit kabobs too because they were nothing like what was described to us. If they had said we were going to get 4 small pieces of fruit on a toothpick, I would have saved my money.
Oh, on a positive note, they allowed us to purchase our own alcohol, we gave it to them the day of and they of course served it.

I'm using CN but I had a tasting with both. My wedding is not for a few more months so I can't give you a full review, but I really enjoyed the tasting with CN. I also really enjoyed working with the owner, Lance, at CN. He's very professional, and I didn't feel like he was trying to play into my "bride" emotions like some vendors do. My only complaint is that sometimes it's hard to get things via email (changes or questions answered, etc.) They seem to be very busy.

Jim Lee came very highly recommended by my DOC. We had a tasting with them, and the food was equally good. I'm sure any wedding they do would be fabulous. However, I just kind of felt unimportant with them since they do SO many events. I was told up to 10 in a weekend. Also, while very nice, I felt like the person I worked with a little insincere. Oh - and I actually had a hard time getting them to contact me at first. My DOC had to call them to complain.

Pricing seemed to be about the same for both.

    HTH!

Thank you ladies for the feedback/input!! @Mslaura31, who are you using for your DOC? I'm in the process of meeting with some potentials!

I hired Rachel Phillips (Rachel Events). I have to say that she's been very helpful with vendor recommendations (though, I'm not using all of her recs) and was a lifesaver when I decided to switch venues after several months of planning. I think she has another planner working with her now, too.
