Wedding Woes

How long does it take to put in a dryer sheet?

That stupid Bounce bar commercial talks about how much easier it makes the woman's life to have to think about that "step."  How hard is it really?

I made fun of this too, except H almost never remembers. :-/

I don't ever remember either. H gets mad. Apparently if I don't use a dryer sheet, my errant hair gets stuck in clumps to his socks or something.

I wonder what happens when you decide not to use the Bounce Bar any more.  Is there a sticky residue left on the wall of your dryer?  No thanks.

I don't use any of that crap. And I don't have my own washer and dryer - they frown upon sticking things inside of the laundromat machines.

I use liquid detergent. The dispensers are on top of the washer. I put the detergent and softner in before the cycle starts.

Actually....H does all of this now. :)

H bought one of these.  He was all excited that he would never again have to worry about forgetting to put a dryer sheet in.  I shrugged, said I thought it was unnecessary, then wandered off to do something else.

It never stayed adhered and would make an awful racket as it banged around the dryer.  We're back to dryer sheets and H admits that it wasn't such a good idea after all.

I've had the bounce bar for about a year. I've had to replace it about 3 times. It works just fine for me. The reason I hated the dryer sheets was that our washer and dryer are outside in a closet on our patio. I'd be carrying in an armload of laundry, and the dryer sheets would fall all over the place.

I actually use that thing, but more because I actually forget most the time.  It doesn't take effort to put in a dryer sheet, but I almost always forget to do so.

By the way, it rocks.  The cheapest one is under $5 and lasts for a few months.  I think we've had one in for about 4 months now.
