Deauville Beach Resort??

Hi!

Does anyone have any information or reviews on this resort?  They are running a special and it is now within my budget.

Thanks in advance!

I have hosted two events there... it has a beautiful ballroom with huge windows and is an awesome space for a large party. The events I hosted were many years ago so I am not exactly sure about the way it is now in regards to service, but there was once a news report on them because they "messed up" a couple's wedding. This may have been within the last year? I think it was about where they were to host their reception had some issues and they never told the couple. I am sure you can google it to get the exact thing that happened.

BUT again, the ballroom is beautiful so if you are clear on your expectations, I don't think it should be an issue.

Thank you so much!  I will look that up asap.

Do you know anything about the actual hotel rooms? I have looked at some reviews and there are many that are really bad.

    Sorry, just saw this...

I have never stayed there... BUT from what I hear, they aren't the nicest out there

  • The Deauville Beach Resort had parking issues in the past from inadequate parking spaces. Guests would have to park several blocks away and valet parking was not always available. However, they recently purchased a large parking garage building diagonal to the property that now provides more than adequate valet parking spaces for all hotel guest and event attendees. They have also changed their catering and events managers and focused on offering quality and service for all their functions. They recently hosted the New Art Dealers Association (NADA) Convention during the 2012 Miami Art Festival and it was a resounding success. The Deauville has had their issues in the past. BIG issues, but the property is coming around and has much improve their overall customer experience with room and  property renovations, training of their personnel, staff changes, a new parking garage, and most importantly, a renewed sense of commitment to their guests. When a hotel is in the middle of a turnaround, they need your business, they try harder and you end up getting a more personalized service and concessions at the larger hotel chains.
