  Wow, that's awesome that everyone liked the venue. My weekend was great, Saturday was our daughters 2nd bday party, and Sunday I signed contracts with the last big vendor.

  Busy weekends for everyone!
  We went to my aunt's house, DS loves playing with her boys. I peeked out the kitchen window and saw the boys had stripped to their undies and were playing with the hose in the mud. Tooooo funny!
  
  The t-storms flooded our basement so I spent all of yesterday cleaning, mopping and drying. It was horrible!
  
  I have a few wedding checks to take care of this week. Drop the deposit and contract for the venue and start checking out caterers.
  I'm getting more and more bummed with our wp, though. She has not responded to emails the past few weeks and for me - -thats the most convenient way to communicate. I'd call but there is always too much noise at my house and the things I need answered don't warrant a phone call.
  I know she's busy because this summers wedding season has officially launched and she has double wedding weekends, but HEY, I'M STILL HERE! I'm paying you too!!
  
  I wanted her input on the venue but I'm going to move forward without her. Bummer =/

  Friday night, I decided to surprise my 4 year old with a trip to an indoor inflatable bouncy house place.  Some of the bouncy things make it hard to have eyes on her every single second.  During one of those brief times I couldn't see her, she managed to get hurt.  I found her on the floor, curled in a ball, screaming at the top of her lungs and holding her arm.  So off to the ER we went.  *sigh*  Nothing broken, thankfully, but the doc said she did a number on her elbow and will probably have pain/swelling for several days, up to a week or 2. 
  
  Saturday, we had a family function to attend and our new (ugly as sin) sofa was delivered.  I'm 100% convinced that this is NOT the fabric we ordered so I have to take one of the cushions back to the store today.  Yesterday was our usual cleaning/shopping/etc day.
  
  Chino, I'm so sorry about your flood.  We lived in a basement apartment and last summer we got about 4-5 inches of sewer water all through the place.  We lost just about everything we owned.  It really sucked!  I hope you were luckier than we were, but I feel ya on having to clean up after all that water.  *HUG*

  I'm sorry some of y'all didn't have a good weekend!  Friday we saw the Avengers, which FI LOVED and I really enjoyed, too.  Saturday we spontaneously went to a Pittsburgh Pirates game and they won!  It was fireworks night, too, which is always a bonus.  I'm definitely the bigger baseball fan, so I was so happy FI sat and watched the entire game.  I think he's starting to finally understand it!  We also started our registry on Saturday.  It's small for now, but we've had people ask us what we wanted/needed, so it's a start!  I had another argument with my mom on Sunday over invitations - she's not paying for the majority of the wedding (FI's family is) but thinks she has complete control over the guest list.  Long story short, she holds grudges and is holding one over a disagreement with my aunt and cousin (and honestly it was out of their hands) and told me there is no way I am inviting that "trash" to my wedding.  She thinks her son (he's technically my brother but he's hurt my and my family - including mom - in more ways than I can ever really forgive) should be invited if they are.  Sigh.  They'll be invited, whether she likes it or not...but her son will never be.  FI said he'd invite them if he had to.
