bubbles bad for satin?

my cousin told me that bubbles are a bad idea because if they land on satin they will leave a mark....idk how true this is, but does anyone have any experience with this?

    Any silk will water spot, while polyester is impervious to pretty much everything. If you have a cheaper dress, it is polyester.
