Boning shows in dress - HELP?

Below is a photo of me, in my dress. I have lost about 5 lbs since I took the photo. I have been very worried about the boning showing under the bust, to the abdomin. Does any one have any suggestions on how to remedy this situation? (I know my naval shows too, but I am planning on wearing nylons which should fix that issue.) Also, I am planning on adding a med fullness crinoline to the dress for fullness.

Any advise or kind words are happily accepted!

Thank you!

Re: Boning shows in dress - HELP?

  • I think you might not need to worry about itl because I really can't see the boning at all....and I was LOOKING for it.
  • I can tell there is boning ONLY because my dress has boning, NO ONE else will notice, it does NOT show through like you think. I do not see your navel either.

  • I too can barely tell, because my dress also has boning and I know what you mean.. only you can see it.

I can't see it.. but if it's uncomfortable or you feel it's an issue, then talk to your seamstress... they'll know what to do :)

  • Hate to be the downer, but I see all the boning. I can't say if I would have noticed if I wasn't looking at your stomach looking for it, but it's there. I would ask your seamstress what she recommends.
