Fess up.

Re: Fess up.

  • OK, here's another.  Since H was so sick for our wedding, we're planning a big first anniversary party this May.  I confess that I have been getting *so* annoyed with H.  He has all these grand plans for a whole weekend of events where all of our friends can crash at our house.  For monetary and logistical reasons this just cannot happen.  But then also, all he does is make these grandiose statements and guess who's the one doing the research on catering and rental prices?  At times I want to be like, "Umm, I planned the real wedding and you didn't take care of yourself in the days leading up to it, so you just go ahead and plan this one."
  • I confess that we do it with the dog and/or cats in the room and sometimes on the bed.  As long as they're not touching us, we don't care.  Usually they just lay there looking disgusted.

  • abbalish that's exactly what I would say to him.

GG- I feel the same way about fb. The last time one of my acquaintances from HS died, at least 3 groups were formed to "remember" him. wtf? Say a prayer/thought/write a poem/send a card/whatever, but a fb group?

  • If we're going to go upstairs to one of the bedrooms, we'll choose a room sometimes based on where the cats aren't- and if the cats happen to be in a room that we're in at the time, they tend to get out pretty quickly, lol.

Yea, the dog is always in our room. He just creeps under the bed like he always does when T's in there (the dog only likes to share the bed with one person at a time for some reason)

Yeah, I'm planning to send a card to his family. I've seen a lot of groups like that on FB.

Btw - I answered you in the other thread. It was brain cancer.

  • I think I cant have sex in the same room as my pets (only one now but when we had more it was the same), because I view them as my kids. I wouldnt have sex in the same room as human kids, so I wont in the same room as animal kids. Just skeeves me out.

My dog got a little puppy boner sitting on my lap one day and it grossed me out so bad, Id be scared he would get a puppy boner if he was in the room and i CANT handle that idea. I think im probably screwed in the head for thinking that but I am just NOT cool with that.

My dogs are always in the bed when we have sex, since they are always within a 2 foot radius of us.  We are also not that careful to not touch them...occasionally one may be on my pillow. I will move them away if they start licking our faces though.  It feels like a weird orgy.   They mostly look away in shame though.  One time, poor Beefy got motion sickness and threw up on my bed in the middle.

  • I'm so glad my boy cats can't get boners. that would gross me out so very badly.
  • The cats always see us have sex.

Not the confession I came in with: I feel SUPER fat and I know my H feels the same way. I plan on starting to work out hardcore next week, and it's not because of the new year, but because the holiday "rush" is over. I'm afraid I'm going to lose weight and B isn't and then he'll resent me. He refuses to join a gym, so I don't know what I'll do. Also, KUI.

Heck, I don't even know how much we're going to be able to do...it depends if we're moving or not.  That's probably the most frustrating part.

Sacha-- that's kind of very disturbing in a very funny way. I still don't know if I can believe you're a real person. Too hot, funny, and full of good stories to be real.

[QUOTE]Whoever had me for Secret Santa on here totally dropped the ball on it and I never received anything. It was disappointing.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

    Now, back to reading.
  • Sascha - That just made me LOL really loud and DH asked me what I was doing "over there." Ha!

  • I can't believe so many of you had a secret santa who sent you nothing!
  • I confess that I'm laughing my ass off at the cat/sex discussion. Also, I can't deal with our cat being in the room, because he will just sit on the bed and watch. If we shut the door, he will meow and grab the door underneath and bang it back and forth, so we have to shove something under it. Then he'll be let in after and he'll jump in the middle of the sweaty bed and roll around. It grosses me out and we just can't have him around at those times!

Not as juicy of a confession as the rest of these, but I don't plan on taking our Christmas tree down until late January. I like to have it up for a month because I love the lights and ambiance it creates, and we didn't put it up until less than a week before Christmas because H was so busy with school and work.

Well, we're going where ever he gets a job.  If he doesn't get one this year, then we'll probably stay, but that means I need to quit my job in NY.  I'm still on a leave there and have to decide by April/May.

  • I think the people who didnt send the secret santa are probably less regulars that somehow got on board, and dont know us/dont post often and changed their mind afterwards. I bailed on the SS partly because there was a whole handful of people on the list I didnt know and had no desire to send a gift to. Im a jerk like that.
  • Hehe yes I was and I was just about to admit I was a lame one who took forever to order your gifts. So don't lose hope knotties that have received nothing! Maybe they are just procrastinators!

  • I confess that during the last months of 2009, I have made some unsound economic decisions that have really been snowballing.  I try not to think about it, but it's getting scary.
  • TLV....well that is one of the best compliments ever...thank you:)  I haven't been able to figure out if more weird things happen to me than other people, like I attract it like a magnet, or if I just happen to find everything funny.  But I am glad that I am not the only one who finds myself funny.

Which reminds me of one of my favorite quotes that I will put in my siggy.

  • I missed the boat on Secret Santa because I'm a procrastinator, but I would have been pissed had I gotten nothing. Next year, we need to make it more closed. How, I do not know.

Beat, we won't be taking our tree down for awhile either.

Also,  I'm bummed that FI's son won't make it down this week.  He was supposed to come in today.  But, because FI had some hairbrained idea of taking the cheap way out - he won't be here.  I seriously had to bite my tongue and not say, "I told you so."
  • I am starting to think I will never be done with school, and the only thing keeping me in it is I feel bad about how much my parents have spent in tuition the past 4 years.
    Photobucket
  • Aw, that sucks Capri. Hopefully he will still make it for some of the holiday break with you guys! And I'm glad I'm not the only one leaving the tree up for an obscene length of time.Even though I judge people who leave their lights up well into Spring, but it's usually the crappy, throw-up lights in yard trees that detract from my holiday spirit. Those should never be up in the first place.

  • My tree is also staying up for the next week or so. Mostly because I'm lazy.
