Fitting!

So I had my first fitting tonight and it was a breeze. However, everytime I put my dress on I am reminded of just how TIGHT it is. In fact it has a bit of bunching in the "pooch" area and we think it might be because it is sort of catching on my hips. I wasn't planning on wearing any undergarments but I am officially on the prowl for some proper spanx! I'm hoping that will give me a little extra wiggle room in the dress to a) make it fit better and b) make sitting less miserable lol.

Love your dress Whit! It is so pretty. My dress has lace too and it was the complete opposite of what I thought I wanted. lol. I will be searching for spanx too. haha.

It looks fab Whit...I don't think you need spanx!

Just to let y'all know too...I went with spanx to my first fitting and tried them on with the dress and it seriously made NO DIFFERENCE! I had brought my tape measure with me too and measured myself and the spanx didn't even slim me down any! And they were super uncomfortable!! And I looked like a maw maw when I took off my dress! I tried the dress back on without them and I looked the exact same...and I was doing the spanx for the same as you (my pooch area). I have decided a lil pooch is going to be there with or without spanx and I would rather be comfortable and look sexy taking off my dress.

Try them out and see...but keep the tags on cause they are expensive too!

I've never tried spanks, but they look and sound ridic uncomfortable. My body isn't even close to perfect, but I'm not wearing any undergarments other than my little bride thong.

I'm having cups sewn into my dress too.

I own one spanx already that is just for a lower pooch and thigh. It hits about the belly button. However I need it to go all the way to under my boobs and then down to my thighs so I bought another one. I don't find them uncomfortable at all. I may just be a freak, but the tighntness is almost comforting. Makes me feel secure. However I can't remember just how much of a difference it made. I was wearing spanks in my e-pic below and under my bridal shower dress:

Ahh I still have to figure out all of my undergarments before my first fitting!! You guys are so on top of everything!!

This might be a silly question, but what do you mean by undergarments? Are you wearing under your dress what you'll have on for the "wedding nigh?t" I'm not very good at this wedding stuff... and I'm trying to learn quickly by everyone's posts!

Love love love your dress and I'm super impressed that you like Spanx. I want to wear them so bad but I find them SO uncomfortable!! My dress flares out right after the waist so luckily I don't have to worry.

i had my first fitting today as well!! it went great! my dress needed a few alterations but nothing major! thank god! and your dress is soo PRETTY! and maybe talk to the place your buying your dress from? they may have some ideas for other options then spanx, or be able to point you in a new direction.

Victorias Secret has some too that I actually found way more comfortable than spanx and they have all different styles. Not bad pricing either if you are comparing them to spankx!
