I'm working on a group project.  One of my group members is a guy getting a graduate degree who is about 50.  Yesterday, H was doing dishes while we worked in the living room and the guy started making bitchy comments.

I told him to knock it off and left it at that.  Now today he made a comment to our other group member about H doing her laundry.  

STFU guy!  It's not your relationship.  My husband is just considerate because school is eating me alive.  I'm still mad 3 hours later.

    My DH does plenty around the house...what is wrong with that and why the hell does this guy get to say anything about what people's husbands do?

    Maybe he's bitter that in his younger years he didn't have a SO to help him out with household chores so he could get his degree.  Pity him.

    He's also divorced and lives alone.  Yeah, you're one to criticize my little loving household.

    I hate group projects with a passion. I always swore to myself that if I was ever to teach, that I would never assign one. You always end up having to work with crappy people.

    He sucks. Like jenny saif, he's just bitter and jealous.

    Ya, FI does about as much as he can. He works until 11 most nights, so it's not as though I'm going to ask him to come home and wash dishes.

    I think H does more things around the house than I do, especially now. Most days he'll get home from work and cook dinner too because he's better at it than I am.

    H and I try to be a team.  I do much more general neatening and laundry, but he does cook and dishes and stuff.  What makes me especially peevish is the fact that he felt like he had permission/license to comment on my relationship when he's never even interacted with H.

    Please, if N didn't step in and do shiit around here, it wouldn't get done because I'm way to busy to do it all.  If that guy said that to me, I'd reply, "You're right, H does a lot around here.  But ask him if he feels like less of a man later, when he's getting a bj and you're home alone."
