Married ladies: Did you order the Bride Name change kit off the knot? Was it helpful?

Brides to be: Are you going to get the kit?

I am debating if I should get this or not. Most of the reviews are pretty good.

<div>Nope, I'm not sure what it consists of, but I did everything on my own. I had a lot of things to change, but it was fairly easy. I wrote down a list of everything that needed to be changed and got to it!</div>

No...doing it the old fashion way of going to SS office, DMV, and calling all my banks and job, etc.

I mean...wouldn't you still need to go to the SS office and DMV and make the calls? Or does the kit somehow do it for you? Or does the kit just tell you what you need to do?

ok, thanks for the response. The kit is $29.99 I guess it shouldn't be that hard if I make a list. I want to get this out the way as soon as I received the marriage license back after my Big Day.

Thanks for bringing this up. It all seems like such a pain! My excuse right now is that I will start after the election. I guess that excuse will not be valid pretty soon:-/

No problem. Yeah I want to start working on it as soon after we get back from the honeymoon. I just want to get it all out the way ASAP. I am excited for the change and the new life I am going to have.

The kit doesn't seem worth iit. I was able to get everything done in 3 hrs. My credit card ppl didn't require any paperwork I just called and gave them my new name and wedding date and they mailed me a new card.
