Do these brides on say yes to the dress spend so much money on a dress? It's rediculous really. You wear the dress once, and then it's off forever. It's crazy! I would never think to spend 10-20 K on a freakin dress!

I think its crazy too!! I tried on a dress that everyone loved and it was $900. I about had a heart attack. My dress was $450 and I love it.

OMG I know!! I was watching with my sister's at my parent's house one day and my Mom walked in and started watching as well. It was one of the brides who says their budget is "unlimited" She (or I should say her father) ended up spending $21K I believe on a dress. My Mom looked at us and said "If any of you girls EVER spent that kind of money on a wedding dress I'd smack you" lol

I just think that is such a waste. $21K is just short of TWO YEARS worth of mortagage payments for me!

I've only ever watched that show once...and it was the one that had the lady with the 20 bagillion kids (Duggar, I think?).

I couldn't imagine ever spending that much. I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that my dress would cost as much as a new car. No...couldn't do it.

I like watching the show but the amount of money those girls spend on their dresses is absolutely insane!!! The kicker is they act like it's no big deal LOL

Hahahahaha!!! I spent $99 at David's Bridal for my dress!!!! And I happen to LOVE mine!!!!

$21K....................my entire DW cost just under 1/4 of that!! And we went on a cruise!!!!!!

I totally agree! I watch it for sticker shock lol!! My dress was 350 WITH alterations so I cannot even fathom spending 10k on a dress!!!

I totally agree! I was watching that last night. Every time, I'm amazed to see the huge amounts of money they spend on a dress! I bet a good portion of those brides and parents go into debt buying those dresses...all to wear it just once!

I feel the same way when I watch that show. I am always amazed when someone spends thousands on a dress to wear for a few hours. The real kicker is when they mention that they are switching to another dress for the reception. If I spend that much money on a dress, than I am wearing it everyday until our first yearanniversary lol

The other show that has me in awe is Platinum weddings. 500K for a wedding.....Gesh, even if my family and I had it like that I dont htink I would blow it on my wedding!
