Me to Lakia.. To iffy.. people wanna do their own thing.. really dont wanna commit to a wedding during a holiday.. I had a friend do a memorial day weekn wedding and it sucked.

We decided on September 8, 2012 and after we picked the date my mom decided to let me know that the day is also my deceased grandfather's (of whom I was very attached to when I was young) birthday. I don't think my aunts (his daughters) were to happy at first but I just explained to them that would be a way of honoring him that day. O well the first of many obstacles, I'm sure!

Our date is 9/15/2012. We picked it because it was a couple of weekends after labor day and hopefully still kinda warm.

september 15, 2012..we decided it was right in the middle, people could recover from labor day weekend, have a break, then come celebrate with us. it was initially supposed to be in may 2012, but my sister graduates college and my brother & 3 cousins are graduating high school..i don't want to overwhelm my family with a wedding. so we pushed it back to september..weather is still nice and there's not much else happening then. just happy to have settled on a date!

September 22. I suggested it as a joke. We both love Lord of the Rings and that is Bilbo & Frodo Baggin's birthdays LOL we are nerdy. He thought it was a fantastic idea and it's the time of year I wanted it anyway. I like it because it's still warm out, but it's not during the busy wedding season, so we might luck up and get something cheaper than normal.

We set our date for September 15th. We didn't want the date to land on anything special since we wanted our date to be "our day." So, it's no one in our families birthday, wedding anniversary, graduation, or anything else. We're having it at a lake so we wanted it to still be warm but not too hot or cold.

Hi everyone,
I picked September 22nd. I orginally wanted 11,11,11 but we had to move it to a later date. I really couldnt find a good date, but september 22nd just rolls of the tounge

I am also hoping that it won't be too hot outside since we live in San Diego and the summer months are just horrible. I think september will be really cool and beautiful around here.

We’re planning for September 1, 2012 too!!! I originally chose 9/10/11 but we decided on a destination wedding so we probably could use the extra time which will allow more family the option to attend. September 1st is also the day we got engaged but 9/1/11 just seems a bit strange and doesn’t really flow.

Originally I wasn't sure and when I went with my MOH to try on wedding dresses they all asked, so I just picked one. Then I liked it so I stuck with it

We're planning on September 7, 2012, but that depends on venues (we're not engaged yet, so we're waiting to put a deposit down). But since it's a Friday night, it probably won't be that bad! It will be 4 years since the day we first met - that's just by chance, too! We wanted a Friday in early September, but not Labor Day weekend.

I wanted to go with September 22, because that would be our 6 year anniversary. However we preferred to have a Friday wedding to cut on costs. So September 21st looks like it is the day unless we get really swayed.

I wanted originally a date in November since I really love fall weddings and the colors of the leaves in the background but my FH said no since that is when his parents have their anniversary. So I posted on another forum for help on a wedding date and another girl had the idea of using the date that we met which is September 16 but when I checked it landed on a Sunday which wouldn't work for us so we settled on September 15, 2012 and I am so excited for that date to come!!

We're still in the early stages as we're not engaged yet, but we know it has to be August or September 2012 (after he graduates law school and takes the bar, before he finds out if he passed the bar and thus receives orders to report for Active Duty - he's a Marine).

We will probably go with a Friday night, and September 7th, 2012 will be 4 years since the day we first met, so it seems rather perfect. August can be outrageously hot in Rhode Island, where we plan to get married, and late September can be rather cold. Hotels are going to be excessively expensive over Labor Day weekend, so we'd rather avoid that. So it seems perfect!

EDIT: Well, several months later, and we have booked! We're doing September 1, 2012. We have a lot of guests coming from out of town, so we like the idea of spending the whole weekend with them. We're going to have a barbecue thing on Sunday to spend more time with our guests.

September 15, 2012. No real reason for the date...I will graduate in May 2012 and didn't want to be doing last minutue wedding stuff while I was student teaching. We also didn't want it to be too hot like it is in July. Our dating anniversary is May 15 so we liked the "15". It will be 7 years and 4 months since we started dating when we get married.
