Good Morning!

I just dyed my hair and well, I may be going to a shop to get it fixed...

Plans for the weekend, include a chocolate festival they are having here in town and Carnival in Nice starts today, so we'll be doing those two things. Just not sure which one on which day.

Boo.. my next day of is on Tuesday (last day off was Friday a week ago). President's Day is not a holiday at our resort, so no holiday pay for me.

Plans for the morning? Nothing. DH is still sleeping. He said last night he is going to cook pancakes and bacon for breakfast. We are both going into work at 3pm.

For Fische - The Coral World ladies explained that the first 36 hours of a turtles life they are in 'crazy swimming mode'. The turtles try to swim really fast to get into the deeper waters to survive. After the 36 hours they are no longer in that mode. So just releasing them from the beach would significantly lower there chances to live because baby turtles need to be in the deeper waters for 3-4 years of there life in order to live. If they were released right from the beach they would become someone's dinner pretty quickly. The deep waters are farther from their predators which allows them to survive.

Here we are putting releasing the turtles into a current which took them out into the sea

It has been a rough week to say the least. Happy Friday!!!

Mr Stack has a friend in town for the weekend so I'll be staying at home not doing much, which is fine by me. Sunday we'll probably go to our most favorite restaurant that we fell in love with on our honeymoon and they just opened one up in our city. I'm so very excited for that.

I can't believe it's already Friday. I'm doing B-pics this weekend & I'm regretting this decision. I'm really nervous & self-conscious, but I'm also cheap and don't want to lose my $100 deposit. Fortunately, the photographer is really good at airbrushing.

Sunday is Chinese New Year & it's the weekend before Mardi Gras. Maybe I'll make dumplings and king cake.

Hi all! The weekend is sorta going to be more of the same for me, since I've been snowed into my apartment all week with everything closed. Today I'm going to bike/swim at the gym, hang around on campus for a few hours doing my reading, and then head to the movie theater in town to see "Valentine's Day".

Not sure about the rest of the weekend, but I do know that FI and I aren't going to be able to do our yearly candlelight dinner by webcam, because he's traveling this weekend and he'll be on planes and in airports for most of the day. Sad news. I guess I'm glad we did a big Valentine dinner a few weeks ago when I was at his apartment.

aMrs - that sounds fun!

Good morning! I'm hungover this morning from 3 beers last night. How does that happen? Very unusual. Anyway, I have been drinking all the ice cold beverages I can get my hands on this morning and now need to go find some coffee.

Tonight we're going to see a Led Zeppelin tribute band at a big bar with a group of friends, so that should be fun. Other than that, not planned for the weekend.

SARAH!! I kind of look forward to your Valentine's day dinner, too!! I do remember some serious KUI'ing last year.

A led Zepplin tribute band sounds freaking awesome.

We're getting carryout and watching the opening ceremonies tonight and my in laws are up for the weekend, so I'll be spending most of my weekend with them.

Sunday, we'll be all Valentinesy, but I'm not sure what we're doing yet.

Tonight I'm hopefully going to run and then we're going to order a pizza and watch the Olympics.

Morning! I'm so excited that it's a three-day weekend! Working today, going to the movies with FI tomorrow and my parents' house on Sunday while he's at work (boo). Monday...I have no idea what I'm doing Monday. Maybe just relaxing. Maybe packing to move.

30th anniversary party tomorrow for FI parents. Its a surprise and supposed be like a replica wedding reception. I think it's going to be weird and awkward.

I think I want to see that valentines day movie too... maybe on Sunday.

mom found out about it and begged us not to do it but FI sister insisted on it (of course).... She cares very much of what others think of her and it as at a lions club, with finger sandwich and byob... Totally not cool in my book... especially when she has made it clear she rather just go out to dinner with the immediate family,

Edit- they want to replicate the first dance, mother/son, father/daughter etc and fi mom hates hates hates being in the spotlight... and I doubt there is enough room for dancing...

Good Morning everyone! FI is away snowmobiling upstate and I'll be alone until Tuesday. Unfortunately we live in the middle of the woods, no neighbors and it's scary. I made the mistake of watching Paranormal Activity last week and I couldn't sleep at all last night. I'm terrified to be in my house alone. I couldn't wait to get to work today and have some human interaction.

Yay friday!

I've been home all week, so I don't necessary "deserve" this Friday, but I deserve some time out of the house, damnit!

So this weekend we're celebrating Valentine's day/the day we met on Saturday. We're going to see a Georgia O'Keeffe exhibit, which should be awesome, and we made reservations at a fancy restaurant (we got a gift certificate to it as a wedding gift and haven't used it yet). Yay!

IT'S SNOWING! I got up and it was snowing. Yeah, y'all can all make fun of me cause I'm so excited about it, but we barely ever get snow, so it's a big deal. I brought home work yesterday, so I'm working from home. It's going to be a good day, I believe. There's a Mardi Gras parade this weekend, the best one in Baton Rouge, actually. But I don't think we'll go because FI has been sick and standing out in the cold is the quickest way for him to stay sick.

Good Friday morning! This is only my second day of work this week (out sick Monday, off due to snow Tue & Wed) so I guess I can't complain.

Probably going bowling and karaoke-ing tonight. Maybe ice skating Saturday and relaxing on Sunday. I don't know if we'll do anything spectacular for Valentine's Day...probably just some cards and dinner at home

We have next week off for our mid-term break (they can't call it "Spring" break, that would imply warmth), so tomorrow we're headinh out to Montreal for a few days to visit his brother.

I'd like to watch the opening ceremonies, but T. isn't into it, so I guess we're skipping. Alas.
