  This is what our Officiant gave us as the traditional religious wording.
  
  

  (G)________________ will you have this woman to be thy wedded wife, to live together after God’s ordinance  in the holy estate of matrimony?  Will you love her, comfort her, honor, and keep her in sickness and in health; and forsaking all others, keep thee only unto her, so long as you both shall live?

   

   

  (Groom): I do.

   

   

  The bride and groom face each other and hold hands.]

   

  The Groom will repeat these words to his bride:

   

   

  I __(state name)___, take thee ___(state bride’s name)___, to be my wedded wife,

  To have and to hold

  From this day forward;

  For better, for worse,

  For richer, for poorer,

  In sickness and in health,

  To love and to cherish,

  Till death do us part.

  According to God’s holy ordinance,

  There to I pledge you my faith.
