Invites, Response Cards and I guess a stamp increase :(

I got everything all ready last night, put addresses, stamps and such on all out invites.  Our response cards have adorable vegas themed stamps from Zazzle.  I found out today the prixe of stamps goes up to 46 next week.  Of course my stamps are .45 cents :(  I guess I will need to get 1cent stamps and make them all ugly.  Boo.  Can I buy 1cent stamps at the post office?  I've never needed such a ridiculous thing.

    Almost positive they do. If for some reason they don't, they have different 1 and 4 cent stamps at USPS.com. I need to figure out what stamps I want to use for save the dates. Not in love with any on their site. Like the idea of vintage stamps but some can be pricey...

    Yes you can purchase 1 cent stamps. I'd be sad also especially after getting custom stamps done and I'm sure everything looks so beautiful now you have to put out of place in looks postage to reassure you get them back.

    I have some friends who work for the US Post office and I asked about a grace period. She said although there is not official grace period the post office will allow the stamps to still go through for two - three weeks.

    I had the response cards with the personalized one and they won't have to respond until march 16th...but i did some tugging and pulling and could switch them all with little to no damage.  Yay! Now the invites have the 45cent personalize and the response have forever stamps.

    I will be buying stamps within the next week... and since the price is going up... I will wait so they will all match..

    When I got my STD's weighed at the post office.. the woman (terrible customer service.. this is from years of experience).. told me one thing.. and when I go to mail them all.. she was waaayyyyyy offff..... So I had to have my cute stamps with other mismatched ones..

    NOT THIS TIME...lol

    I am (im)patiently waiting for next week to go get my response card stamps.. We bought 400 forevers and then decided to get postcard stamps for the rsvp. I almost didn't remember the increase but luckily the post office reminded me.

    Just take a deep breath and remember no one cares as much about the postage as us!

    Nursing, I'm curious what your STDs were?  Did they need more than regular postage?  I did a VP magnet with a card in the envelope but it was still jsut a regular stamp.  My invites are light too, thank goodness! LOL
