Re: It's nighttime somewhere

• Uh oh, MuSu! Don't take it to the Geek Squad. Just don't. Whatcha gonna do?

I'm applying for jobs. Nothing makes me feel less awesome than applying for jobs.
• Oh no! That sucks Musu : (
• Musu, that sucks. I really hate computer troubles.

Do it!  But then you'll either love me or hate me for introducing you to it.  It could stay on the top of your to-do list for quite some time.

• I was able to upload the paper to the online draft submission so it is at least now on the Internet to access. LDY I'm gonna take it to the genius bar but I am not looking forward to the bill. I don't know how much a hardware replacement costs but ugh so not what I can afford right now.

• Whats kind of funny is that we have 2 iPhones, an iPad 2, the macbook pro that is currently dying, and a 27 inch iMac desktop normally. Since j is in Chicago on business, he took the iPad and the desktop. He WOULD have taken the laptop since that makes more sense for travel but since it has ALL of my school stuff on it, he just took the desktop. I am wishing that he had taken this now, haha.

• FYI - Mica wants to see me sing/dance to Gangsta's Paradise - you should all want to see me do it too. ::Shameless Plug::

My college roommate introduced me to cake batter water... amazing. Now you have me craving it...
• Heyo.  I came home from a pretty decent day to my new swimsuits in the mailbox, so I'm super excited.  The butt of my only old one that fits was see through and I was wearing a second set of bottoms under it, ha.  I'm going swimming tomorrow morning for sure.

Birth control pills are the debil.

Genius Bar is awesome.

• He traveled with a desktop computer?

Ldy -- I had tried to donate before, but my the site wouldn't recognize whatever security thing from my iPad.  I guess my timing was perfect.  I want to see Ldy sing and dance.

Now I want ice cream.
• You DID have good timing, Mica! Next time I'm doing Madonna. It's gonna be awesome. I figured out how to make a cone bra.

MY SUNBURN HURTS.
• Yeah he did, he drove there and has a truck so it was no big deal. iMacs are much more travel friendly than a windows desktop might be with a tower. J, I hate the friggin genius bar.

Musu, I'm glad you were able to get your paper uploaded at least.

J, getting a new swim suit is always awesome.

It was great talking everyone.  I get to go home now and eat dinner and sleep.  Have a good night!

• Because the charge you up the ass to do any maintenance. It's straight up highway robbery. If I knew a computer nerd I wouldn't even bother with them.

• Musu, are there any local computer repair places? I've always gone to a local guy instead of genius bar or geek squad when I have computer issues. He's my favorite dude ever.
• I'm sure there are leisel. I just don't know what the difference in price would be.
image
• That's true. I think the guy I use is a teensy bit cheaper, but it's not a huge difference. He makes house calls, though, which I like.

I didn't believe my roomie at first. She made me try it... I was ashamed at my doubting her.

On a different note: I totally feel for FI that his new job has him wiped out... but I miss hanging out with him when he gets home. Now he gets home and crashes... I tried waking him up 2 hours ago he told me to; he just wanted a nap and he got crabby that it wasn't long enough, so I've just let him sleep. But dammit, I'm hungry and want to make dinner!
• OK I'm back. Watching Big Brother from last night.
• MuSu, I've always had awesome experiences with them.  When my cat chewed through my power cord and my battery puked out at the same time, I got a free battery, even though I was 2 weeks past warranty.  I was pretty pumped.  I also got the student discount on my power cord even though I wasn't a student anymore.

So make dinner?  He's sleeping, why do you have to wait?  Just make it.  If he's hungry he'll get up and eat, and if not....well, he's probably better off sleeping ;)

• That's the biggest reason I don't want to get a mac. H can't fix it if it goes wrong.
• Well, that's all the Taco Hell gone from my system. Now I'm hungry, but I'm sticking with some chicken noodle soup for sups tonight. I have a question for the vegetarians out there. I'm thinking of cutting meat out of my diet for a month or so, just to cleanse my system and see if I feel less sluggish and all. Should I wean off or go cold turkey? Also, where can I find recipes that will keep me properly nourished but also satisfied as to taste and variety? Are eggs okay but no fish?
• J, the actual people are friendly enough. I just think that the prices are outrageous. We are far past warranty so there is definitely no chance that I can get a discount or anything.

<div>Ditto. Plus, H built his desktop, and it cost a whopping 600 dollars. Think I'll pass on the 1500 dollar Mac that has to be sent or taken in if a part goes bad. </div>

I'm just debating what to make... we were supposed to have spaghetti which sounded really good but I don't know if I want to go through the process just for me to eat. Though, I suppose he might appreciate the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Soooo you've talked me into it. Off to boil water...
Ldy or Edie, can't you move here for work? I had to do phone interviews today and did not like most of the interviews.  And 2 stood me up. Like you take the time to apply for the job, get an interview, and then you.... don't answer the phone when it's time? I don't get it. And it made me cranky.
Posted by djhar
That's stupid. Flat out stupid. I need a jerb. Let me work remotely =)
• Edie - that's what everyone keeps telling me. I might consider making the switch.
