The one reception venue we like is only available 10/13 - which means pushing our date up by two weeks. We're going to see it (and hopefully book it) today. I spoke with my Pastor, and of course, there is a baptism and a wedding already scheduled on that date. It sounds like with some finangling, we would be able to start the ceremony around noon. My Pastor is talking with the woman who arranges everything, and is going to get back to us.
The issue there is that means we'd have to rethink our reception plans and plan to a serve lunch. But, it is what it is.
The other thing is that my Pastor said our original date - 10/27 - is now available. I didn't ask what times - but I know the reception venue we are looking at tonight is not available that weekend. We'd have to see if the parish hall would be available to do the reception.
Wish me luck that we get everything worked out so I can get my invitations printed and in the mail!!
