When a post is reported it goes to TK- I do not get any sort of notifcation or email, which would be great, but I don't. I wish I did get an email, which would be MUCH more efficient and would absolutely cut down on the vendor posts. Unfortunatley, the only way I have to find out about vendors is to click on each and every post and read them.

As a side note, it has been confirmed that my feelings were correct regarding bereasonable. It looks like the user has been removed but this was not of my doing.

Just because he was removed doesn't mean anything........what was the reason? I didn't see anything. Some people have been banned here for no reasons including myself and then reinstated.

So basically you are saying that the report fuction is worthless.......

The report function does go to someone and it does work- as I have used it myself on other boards where I am not the mod. I'm just not positive who that someone is. And regarding bereasonable- it was confirmed who the vendor was and I can't say why they were removed since I did not do the removing so I know just as much as you do.

I know it's probably not a good idea to reveal moderating techniques out in the open, but I'm really curious about how bereasonable got slapped with the vendor stick. Most vendors in disguise are irritatingly perky and actually recommend names. (In the Grove thread that USER is talking about, I believe one post was from someone who claimed her daughter and niece booked that venue. Not only is it suspect that someone whose wedding was more than 20 years ago would be posting here, but I couldn't imagine cousins wanting to have their weddings in the same location!)

I don't remember bereasonable mentioning any vendors by name - she just seemed cynical about the planning process, and very private. Not unlike me, really. My first post here was a rant about a bridal salon, and I'm sure the regulars may think it could have been an attack from a rival shop. (Granted, I responded in an existing thread and didn't start a new post for that).

I never formally introduced myself. Because I am a very private person, and because I know people IRL who may have read or are reading this board, I never mentioned my real name, or that of my FH (the names I put down on the profile are a reference to a song). I never explicitly stated my venue, photographer, videographer, makeup artist, etc. I may have recommended them, but I've often done so alongside vendors I liked but didn't book. But I never blatantly said they were my vendors. (I mentioned Kleinfeld, because it's a big enough vendor that I couldn't be traced to it, and I have mentioned my real date.)

I guess I simply wasn't called out. Why am I still here?

Perhaps bereasonable was trying to get an in here before recommending her business. But from what I saw, I never saw red flags. And I do think that it's very much possible for someone who follows the rules and writes an intro post to be a vendor in disguise (all they have to do is mention vendors that work with each other frequently). But really, Grove mom and her colleagues had to go first.

Topic? Glad Danes tracked down the photographer and got the images.

Not for nothing, but not everything that goes down on TK happens on the boards....

Maybe someone was dumb enough to register their account using their true vendor identity.

Maybe some questionable PMs were exchanged.

There are plenty of other ways to get banned than exposing yourself on the boards.

I'm sorry but going by the poor infastructure of this web forum, I am not confident in any detective skills that go on here. I don't even think they can ban IP's here like we do on other forums, just emails.

And even if they are a vendor...so what, a makeup artist,etc isn't allowed to plan their wedding and use this site as a resource? Even if they NEVER make it known to ANYONE who they really are and what their business is? Pretty unfair.

And as I also said, people have NOT been banned for doing much worse. A travel agent was on here for yrs without being banned, and so was a photographer. and it was well known by everyone.

I reviewed all their posts this morning when I saw the acusations. I didn't see anything, and after the call out, and them defending themself they would of been stupid to do anything.

How was he found? How did you contact him or did he contact you? We are having the same problem at this point and have been trying to contact him. Glad someone has located him, but i'm still worried that unless i contact him, he'll just brush us over. any help would be great!

Hi all,

I was contacted by the Franklin Twp Police Department - Detective Bureau. They had my high resolution picture CD (which I already had). Anyone who is eager for them should give them a call...they have quite a pile of wedding CDs dating back to 2008!

Same as the above poster...Got the call from the police saying they have my stuff...was hoping it was albums or actual prints but its only the CD which I already had as well. This situation is infuriating and heart breaking...I would love to be in the loop if and when there is a suit filed, etc. The police I talked to when I picked up the pictures said we would most likely get nothing however since it appears they have nothing. two years and one baby girl later I just want what I was promised.

I used Peter and never got my books or video. Yesterday I got a call from Jason a DJ at Primetime Entertainers, who had rented space to Peter. He says he has my pictures and video and he asked me to let others know he might have theirs. Call him.

Hello,

I was just wondering when you say that he is giving everyone their pictures, is that on the disc and the book of proofs?

I have definitely learned my lesson that you need to do research on vendors that you use for anything. Really sucks that we will not get our albums of the best day of our lives like we were promised!

I have also been in contact with Jason from Primetime. I went by the office last Friday and he had our photos copied on a disc that he gave me, so I now have out photos. He's a good person to check if you are trying to get at least a disc of your photos. He also has our video but still has to copy it onto a disc. He seems to be trying to help everyone as much as possible.

Just wanted to see if anyone has heard anything on semenick? Any lawsuits being filed or anything? Anyone able to get their money back or anything that was promised in their contract?

I was married in October of 2010 and haven't heard anything from them. No pictures no video nothing! I've been calling and emailing for months and have gotten no where. I am glad I found this message board because I called the number that was given for Jason and I should have my disc of photos tomorrow!! He said he has our video too, but that it is just the raw footage and he has not had a chance to copy it yet, but he will as soon as he gets some other couples out of the way.

Best of luck to all the other couples that got scammed by this photographer. Let there be justice.

Has anyone heard anything from Jason at Primetime, I kept calling and calling and he said any day he would have my DVD for me; then I gave up because it was wedding time and I figured he would be too busy. But today I decided to call and his number is disconnected. Is this really happening to me again? And I called Primetime Entertainers and got a loop from recording to press Operator to recording to press Operator.
I don't know what to do next. Over two years and no book, no video.

Were you able to get in touch with Jason? I had been calling him for months trying to get my video. About two months ago I just went there and picked up whatever he had so I could bring it somewhere else, because he wasn't returning phone calls and was so backed up with other videos that he never got to mine.

I finally got them, Jason seems a really nice guy. I guess he was just swamped, No I too have to figure out who to go to, once bitten after all I'm a little afraid to trust someone else.
