What kind of bustle?

My dress came in last week, and I FINALLY got to try it on! Now I'm thinking about bustle.

I'm not too familiar with the different kinds, so I'd love your opinion.

My dress is silky satin, and there is lace detailing along the hem and quite a bit more on the train. Here are a couple of pics:

I usually think the "under" bustles look good, but that would probably hide all of the lace detail on the dress.

    What about an Austrian bustle? That would look kind of like an under bustle without losing all of the lace detail. LittleSweetie posted some pics of hers earlier today.

    Yeah LOVE it!!! I thin kit would look nice with that type of bustle...I posted over there with a pic of mine, but here it is again, with all 16 tie ups! I'd say you would still see all of your very lovely lace.

    You could also do a more simple one or two-point bustle (whatever they are called). My dress has tiers of lace, and I'm going with a one-point bustle:

    No bustle-

    Can I just saw that your dress is gorgeous! I would try a few different ones in person with your seamstress. For me, I really had to see the mock up of each one in person to decide. Def dont loose the lace though! So pretty!

    try out a few options.  I never knew I had so many choices... probably what I"m most worried about with the fittings!

    I like the Austrian bustle idea, but also agree that you would need to see the different options in person.

    Just out of curiousity, did you get your dress at Betsy Robinson? (it looks familiar)
