Well, maybe it's the Royal Wedding that inspired me to come out of hiding...I have been lurking on this board for quite some time, so it's about time I introduce myself!
My FI proposed to me on Nov. 7th (two years from the day we met!). We met shortly after I had just gotten out of an awful on/off relationship. I was so not ready to meet someone (or so I thought!). A mutual friend of ours thought we would be great together and kept asking if I wanted to meet him or if he could set us up, and I kept refusing.
One night, when we all were hanging out as a group, my friend invited him without me knowing. I ended up talking with him with him all night (and even got him to dance!). From then, we hung out in the group of friends for a while before he got up the courage to ask me to meet up for hot chocolate (since I don't drink coffee). That seems so silly now! Then we finally went out for dinner, and shortly after we were seeing each other all the time. We moved in together a year ago, and got a Beabull puppy (half beagle, half bulldog) who is the love of my life besides my FI (hence my name on here!).
I have been having so much fun planning my wedding since the engagement began in November and already have so much done- the venue, DJ, photographer, videographer, florist, photobooth, booked my hair/makeup people, and just last week picked my dress
I have been following this board for so long, I feel like I already know a lot of your stories, and I am glad I am coming out of hiding and can finally participate in the discussions!
