Marriage License Question

A co-worker mentioned that you have to have a physical before getting the marriage license..is that still true?
One of my other co-workers said this isn't true. I'm getting conflicting info and thought it would just be safe to ask my knotties..lol
It's not a problem, but I'm just curious.

Nope. We walked into the courthouse, filled out some forms, paid money, raised our right hands, said some oath, and walked out of the courthouse. Bri went back 3 days later and picked up the license. Easy as pie.

Taryn - you had to say an oath? That's weird.

We just had to fill out a form and paid, then they copied our docs and we picked it up 3 days later.

Yeah...swearing that we weren't cousins and marrying each other along with some other promises. Apparently that's how we roll in Genesee Co.

I think I saw in Oakland County you can actually apply online. Then you have to go in to pick it up. It says nothing about a physical.

You can also apply online in Wayne. Long gone are the days when you needed a physical and blood work
