Florists

I was planning on doing the flowers myself to save some $$, however, I think the stress of tryinig to get everything together the day before the wedding will make me nuts.  I had planned on ordering from FiftyFlowers but god forbid, the flowers arrive and they suck!!

So what is a reasonable expection of a flower budget???  I want primarily gerber daisies w/ some greens.  I'm hoping to keep it under $1,000....that that unrealistic?

26 summer just posted in a thread yesterday that she got her flowers from kskennedy for 850, so it can definitely be done.

Shop around for a few quotes, tell them that 1K is the budget you have, and see they say they can give you.

I'm getting all of my flowers for $600 from Dragonfly Florist. She works out of her house in Murrysville but she's very professional and the flowers look great.

ETA: I'm getting flowers for me, 5 bridesmaids, 3 corsages, FI & 5 groomsman's bouts, 3 other bouts, flowers for the top of our aisle runner, an arrangement for the church, and petals for the flower girl. She's coming out to the church to set everything up as well.

I DIY my own bouquets, boutineers, and centerpieces.  It is a bit time consuming.  In total, I had 4 people helping me and it took 4 hours.  But, I was so happy with the results.

It can be done, if you do decide to do them yourself, do a practice run prior to the wedding.  You would be able to see the quality of flowers and can judge when to have them delivered, etc.

I only paid about $800 for all of my flowers. I didn't have floral centerpieces, but did have petals scattered around the centerpiece and on the cake table. That price also includes my bouquet (and it was large), 3 BMs bouquets, DH's bout, 3 GM bouts, about 6 other bouts for various people, 3 corsages for mothers/grandmothers, floral piece in front of the unity candle, and 2 large altar arrangements. Definitely shop around, and do non-floral centerpieces if you really want to keep in lower.

KS Kennedy is our florist, too! Kerry is such a nice guy and so accommodating. His prices are so reasonable. Go visit his shop and meet his dog, Lucy!

Thanks for all of the great tips guys!  I just talked to Kerry and I want to book them based on the phone conversation alone!!  I've requested quotes from some of the other suggestions too.  You guys are great!
