[QUOTE]Well if the original post didn't do the trick, I got a HUGE kick out of this thread. It's funny to me that if people don't like a post they comment that they don't like it. Who cares honestly? If you didn't think it was funny, move on. I thought it was clever personally. I imagine some of the women on TK sitting on their computers, waiting for people to post only to pounce on them. Ugh, please. Good point, by the way, about being concerned about hurting people's feelings, since I'm sure no one on this thread has ever been rude or inconsiderate to any other OP with the intent on doing so. It's quite obvious that was not the OP's intent. Get over yourselves.

There's irony for you. I can't post on something that I found pointless and say so, but I shouldn't post? Yet you can post saying that others shouldn't post? You're doing the exact thing you're saying not to do. It isn't a big deal, but I do get to offer a different perspective when I have one.

[QUOTE]Sheena- looks like you got what they call "flamed." I'm a newbie here as well and I've learned to never, ever open my mouth until I have done been married for over 2 years and have at least 10,000 posts- because they won't take you seriously until then. Don't take it personal, it's just the nature of TK boards. You're better off being one of what they call "lurkers." lol.

Didn't you hear? That's what I do. I lurk in the shadows waiting for something to flame, ride in on my flaming steed, flame away, and leave without contributing anything useful. Fact.

• Hey thanks, Bren. I think she is pretty cute too.

Hey- I just thought of this and I'm not sure why, but she was a box kitty too, J&K. The shelter I adopted her from found her and her bros in a box on the side of a highway. She was the last one left at the shelter when I got her.
• That horse reminds me of that Ghostrider movie, Any. But it's without Nicholas Cage so it's better.

*snort*
I'm "new" (I have an old join date, but have only been posting a short while). I'm not married, and I don't even have 1,000 posts. The secret isn't to have 10,000 posts and a husband. It's to NOT SUCK. That's universal across the whole wide internet. Be funny, be yourself, and have something to contribute= be accepted into online community. Try too hard and only think you're funny= get flamed. It's a pretty simple equation. I'll never understand why people get so upset about it. It's like sucking at basketball and then wondering why you get picked last in gym...
• My wedding has somewhat of a theme. That's all my tacky ass has to say about that.
• If you really want to get people riled up just mention that you plan on using live fish in your centerpieces. Its amazing how nasty people can get over stinky little fish!
• Well, I'm on both sides, I think the idea could've been funny, but it was bound to go horribly, horribly wrong (as it did).
I know I've read more than 1 planning bio that included a BBQ reception, so I don't really get that. And if cupcakes are a new trend, whose to say sno-balls aren't far behind? No-one likes to have their wedding called tacky, whether its internet strangers or not.
I think a better Game would've been Wedding Themes you could see going wrong. Like a black tie NASA theme. Where the groom is in a space suit, and they have the reception in an anti gravity room. That sounds like a really bad idea...

What was the point of this? Are you trying to get people all "riled up?"

It better be, or else it gets ridiculously flamed. It's in the terms of use. They hid it right before the part that talks about vendors not posting here. That's probably why no sees it--no one sees the vendors part either.

• Hmmm. That might explain the box of toenails KA sent me the last time I posted something lame. I also got VD right about that time. Do you think KA has VD Voodoo dolls for all of us? If so, I hope mine is named Carl.
• Well, that would explain the burning sensation. She literally flamed you. I guess that's an effective way to keep lame posts at bay.
• My statement was not meant to get anyone riled up. It was merely a reply to previous statements about how nasty people can be on these boards about ridiculous stuff. I merely mentioned a topic that amused me that many people get extremely abusive over that I feel is not worth the energy it takes to be so emotional.

Thank you for furthering the point of PP's about how negative people are on here when they interpret posts. I always appreciate it when people validate my responses.
