    [QUOTE]OP, this situation is totally understandable and I don't blame you for wanting to make sure your guests know what's an appropriate gift and what's not.  This is exactly the reason that, at my own wedding, I will be having a gift checker at the door of the reception hall to compare everybody's gifts as they arrive against a pre-approved list of my acceptable presents.  That way, if they've brought me something that isn't on the list, the gift checker can simply tell them to replace it with some cash or GTFO.  I'm not wasting my money providing a meal and booze for someone who doesn't even have the common decency to gift me with something that doesn't offend my delicate feminine sensibilities.  Stupid heifers.
