pumpkin escort "cards"

I'm wondering if any other Nov. brides are using small pumpkins as their escort "cards" and if so when you are planning to buy/pick-up the pumpkins? I have a few farms/nurserys around me and a Stew Leonards where I can get them, but I'm trying to figure out how far in advance I should actually pick them up. I'm going to the cloest local nursery to talk to them this week about possibly reserving about 90- but if anyone else is also doing this and has any advice to share that would be great

We thought about it but decided against it. We'd need 95 pumpkins and that's a bit much.

The little pumpkins never seem to rot like the larger ones. I would think you could buy them a week or two before your wedding and they'll still be fine.
