Good morning!

Who's here?  Is everyone back to normal work schedules now?

Something fell on my head last night and it really hurt, and this morning I feel kind of strange.  I am still debating if it's because I'm just tired and cranky about vacation being over, or if I actually knocked my noggin pretty good.  I could be the ultimate sissy and go home sick, but I'm trying to tough it out.  Harumph.

Re: Good morning!

  • I have to go back to work today and it's going to be crazy. Ugh.

    Sorry about your noggin!!

  • mornng.

My schedule never changed so I do not have to readjust to anything.

Sorry about your head. Be careful,   you may  have a concussion?

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • Thanks fischy and lynda.  It was so dumb, I was unpacking a bunch of stuff (we moved last week) and standing on a little stepstool that I KNEW was already broken...I reached up to put this plastic thing on a high shelf, and crrrack the stool just collapsed.  I landed on my feet, but lock-kneed so it shocked me a little, and the plastic thing came tumbling down on my head.  Dumb dumb dumb.

Moral of the story: don't stand on something you know is already broken.

    Good Morning!

My schedule never really changed either.  But now that you guys are all back to normal, maybe everyone will be back to knotting?

  • Good morning!  Yep it's my second day back at work.  Blah.

If you start feeling nauseated or you throw up or get dizzy, get to the doctor asap!  Otherwise, you're probably just cranky.  ;)

  • Is anyone else surprised at the lack of newly engaged people lately?  Maybe I wasn't on enough to see them but I felt like there weren't a ton...maybe after Valentine's Day?
  • Good morning, all. I'm back to "normal" work schedule, and not overly happy about it. Yeah, I like my job, but I really liked my vacation. Sleeping until 8 or 9 every morning is quite addictive, I tell you.
  • Kate - there were about 8 or 9 on the Just Engaged board right after Christmas.  Someone posted here about it, but I don't think a lot of newbs have made it over here yet.

  • Good morning.  Sorry to hear about your head.  I didn't really get a vacation, so nothing to adjust to, but yes I'm here at the office.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • Gotcha, Dani.  That makes sense.
  • I just forced myself to get up instead of sleeping in, so I can actualy accomplish somethig today. My brain is still numb from reading so much.
  • Good morning!  Sorry about your head :(  I hit my head pretty good on the car door frame once and it made me feel a bit off for awhile.  Like pp said just watch for dizziness or nausea.  And don't go to sleep :)

And it's the second business day of the year and our receptionist is already taking a day off.  I'm one of the people who has to help cover for her and she goes waaaay over her vacation and sick time every year.  Ugh.

  • Good morning!

I'm one of the sad people whose schedule didn't change over the holidays. We got Christmas Day and New Year's Day off, but that's it. So it's just another Tuesday for me.
