Does your significant other know that you are active on the Knot?
How does he feel about it?

I love sharing things that make me happy with Andrew. So it was only natural that I was a little gushy about finally making my first post on the knot yesterday. I was like, "OMGTheGirls!They'reSoNeat!Yippee!Hooray!"

Of course- he didn't have much of a response, but I wonder how he feels about me on the boards. I suppose I could ask, hm?

It's not really that active. But, it was nice to see actual pictures of the people that are on here. I'd guess some people are probably Facebook friends with other Knotties. I guess I'm not cool enough for that yet

He knows I'm on here, but we agreed that I wouldn't put any identifying information on here. I'm also very careful about putting negative wedding related stuff on here. Before we got engaged, he knew I had a Knot membership, but didn't know I was posting on a board.

Now, I am on the Facebook page, so technically the other regulars could obviously figure out who I am, but I'm not too worried about that.

Hehe...Guess it would totally blow my whole "secret screename identity" but then you could see how cute my screen name really is!

Is the group active at all? It only looks like there are 24 members. It must be a secret group.

BF knows I'm on here. He is cool with it. When I originally joined (before I started posting and was just a lurker) we were actually planning on getting married fairly soon. We of course came to our senses since that time and are no longer planning on getting married for probably at least 2 years so that we can finish school and get jobs.

So basically he is fine with me being on here. He thinks it's funny when I talk about my internet friends. I usually refer to everyone as "the girls" and he knows exactly who I'm talking about.

My BF knows that I am on here. I am not very good about hiding things from him so even if I wanted too I wouldn't be able too. He is ok with it. He had some problems when I was reading the SB because after I read them I was really well snarky. But now that I don't read them he doesn't have a problem. He is cool about it.

Well, it's not like I've outright said, "Oh, hey, BTW I go on this website called The Knot and post on a forum called Not Engaged Yet". But we live together, and I'm often on in the evening when we're both sitting on the couch, so I'm pretty sure he knows. He's not dumb. And I talk about you guys, to him haha. I don't think he really gives half a crap quite honestly.

FI knows that I'm on here... I usually check up on TK in the morning while we're eating breakfast together. Occasionally he'll ask me a question and I'll be like zoned out reading a post and he'll be like "Baby? Baby? Are you Knotting again?" O:-)

FI thinks it's weird too. Especially cuz I joined theknot after I was engaged, and post mostly exculsively on the NEY board. But you ladies are the best ones. So I stay.

He knows I'm on here. He was fussing about it, but now he's snoring.

I don't feel like linking back to the last time we discussed this, but I'm pretty sure the general consensus was that you shouldn't hide that you're posting on a wedding forum.

When my H and I were NEY, I didn't tell him I was posting on NEY right away. I was new to message boards in general, so it took me awhile to realize that not only was I helping to pass my work days more quickly, but I was truly becoming part of a community. I started talking about my internet friends more openly at that point. I found NEY pretty soon after becoming curious about weddings, and that helped me nip some pre-planning in the bud. So really I was just here for NEY.

But now he knows when I talk about my friend in Canada, I mean Paige. And when I mention that my friend in LA and her husband are now playing Aion, that's Jeana. Good stuff.

M knows but doesn't really say much about it. I honeslty think he could care less. I came here for the same reasons as Desert. I was curious and got to be a little to wedding crazy and then I found this board and have been here ever since.

He's seen me on the page, but I haven't outright told him about him. He and I are very different in our internet usage. He uses the internet for specific, defined purposes. Doing something for school, buying movie tickets, looking up a quick fact, etc. To him, my complete internet addiction is strange, so I try not to throw it in his face too often. I'm weaning him onto the idea by occasionally mentioning something in coversation.

My FI knew. I started looking at TK when my sister was getting married last April because I was looking for ideas for her shower and b-party. I found the boards and started lurking for a while until I finally made an account. FI asked why I was still on TK since sis' wedding was over and I told him I found a board for NEY that was pretty interesting....he just said "oh" and didn't really care. A few months later he proposed and now he definitely knows I'm on TK.
