March 2012 Weddings

School Starts - NWR

Sad panda, right here. I was just inputting my syllabus information into my calendar and I am seriously going to be in panic mode for the next  52 days. I can't beleive I am dumb enough to sign up for 3 classes during one of the most stressful times of my life...WITH A BROKEN NOSE. *sigh*

Accounting, Business Analysis and Finance, here I come!

Okay. I know I need to relax. I started delegating tasks to my sweet FI. :) Thanks for letting me vent!

Re: School Starts - NWR

  • You can do it!!!!!  I went to school while working full time and being a single mom.  It's tough but you just have to dedicate the time :)) You can do it and like you said...delegate wedding tasks to the FI :)

  • Don't worry. I'm taking 19 credit hours this semester. That is a full load!! While doing wedding planning. I had a mental break down the night before classes started because I was terrified of the smester to come.

The best thing you can do?? Take it one week at a time!

Does it make me an awful person that this somehow makes me feel better? Lol jk, but joking aside, YOU GO GIRL!

I just bought my books (ouch!) and am starting to read the preface material into the courses and after looking at my next few weeks, I just got really overwhelmed at one moment. But you're right...one week at a time...

And I couldn't even FATHOM a child right now!! lol
  • I defiantly don't miss those classes!  Good luck!

  • I'm taking 4 classes this semester... and I haven't been to school since I graduated from college in 2004!!!  Try going full time 8 years after you last stepped foot in a classroom while planning a wedding.  I'll also be missing two weeks because of the wedding and the conference the week before the wedding.  Hopefully my professors don't mind.

I already have a degree but I want a business degree to go with it.  I've been running my own business for 4 years but I want to start expanding my company and I figured a little business know-how wouldn't hurt!  Micro and Macro economics, here I come!

I believe in a lot of things. I believe in fresh tennis balls, the healing power of bunnies, and that the novels of Susan Sontag are something I'll never read. In fact, I don't even know who Susan Sontag is. What is she... like... a painter? I believe in Crystal Lite because I believe in ME. I believe in the movies of Val Kilmer, though these days it ain't so easy. I believe in Darren Sproles, the word "dabble", the first season of "Silk Stockings", and big, warm, moist, gooey chocolate chip cookies that melt in your mouth and all over your face.

  • I'm so sorry girls! It sounds like a lot, but you'll be so proud of your accomplishments and to get it all done in the end. :)

I feel like I could probably take a full load school and plan a wedding (with of course not an ounce of free time), but I definitely wouldn't be able to work much, take a full load, and plan a wedding. When I was taking a full load while in college, I interned and worked as nanny but it was very part time.

Lisa, oh. my. gosh. Coming from the teacher stand point, there is no way in hell I'd be able to take my masters classes, write a thesis, teach full time (because let's be honest full time is 50+ hours a week), and plan a wedding, or at least walk away from it all with any sanity.

  • Im in grad school too....and feel your pain. In fact, last night (in order to keep my sanity) I definitely dropped a class 20 min before it started and added an online course so that I can spend more time with my FI when we are married than in a classroom.... Next semester though it's solid classroom :( Cannot wait to have my MBA so I can be done with this lol
