Downtown Rehearsal Dinner

I'm looking for a downtown-ish rehearsal dinner venue for less than $700 for 40 guests. Our church is over on that side of town and I would prefer to stay toward downtown since we have some out of towners, but I'm open to other parts of town, too!

Any suggestions?

Are you looking for casual and fun, classy and upscale?

We were going to do Zia's on the docks...they were pretty reasonable.  You could always do a fun Tony Packos thing or depending on the schedule, I've heard of people renting out suites at the Mudhens games, too. (Not sure on pricing)

Space 237 with something catered in, maybe.

Hi. New to the board. My husband and I are going to be planning an elaborate vow renewal for our 10 year!! We got married a little over 8 years ago and our rehearsal dinner was at Spaghetti Warehouse. It was very reasonable and the food was great. You get to rent out your own room which at the time was $50.00 and you got a selection of dinner menus. I know it was 8 years ago but we had 37 people and the bill with dinner, drinks (alcoholic), tax and tip was around $580.00. Definitely a place worth looking into!! Good Luck!!

    Melissa!

Hey, check out this art gallery downtown, they just opened and are more about bringing folks in then making $$ right now.  http://www.jandjgallery.net/
And then you just need to find a restaurant to cater it.  We did City BBQ and I think it ended up being about 850.00 for 40 people though.  I'm sure you could find someplace cheaper.    The one owner may even be able to cater it, he's a very good chef.

Spaghetti Warehouse has very good prices also.  We had my mom's 50th birthday there.

My brother had his rehearsal at easy street cafe downtown.  I enjoyed it, but I am not sure on the price.  The nice thing about easy street is that they have *their own free parking*.  Which is *very* hard to find downtown, especially if there is a Hens game going on.

I'm thinking about using Easy Street also because that is where we had dinner on our first date!  I called the other day and they seem easy to work with.  He said they can pretty much make it work for however much you want to spend!
