Invitations, help!

I need to order invitations soon...and I've looked online b/c I figure that you can get the best deals.  But, this whole invitation thing is not really my forte.  It's more complicated than I realized as far as the types and options available...I don't even know what half of them are!!

I think this is something that I need to see in-person and have someone walk me through.  What are the best places in the NOLA area for invitations?  I need middle of the road price options...they don't have to be super cheap, but they can't cost a fortune b/c I need A LOT of them.  The only place I have heard anything about is Gem Printing?

Thoughts?

I haven't gotten here yet, but when I do, I'm going to start at Gem. They have a really good reputation.

I used Gem.  They're reasonably priced and super fast.

I used Scriptura.  It's a bit expensive, but they'll really take their time to sit and explain everything from typefaces to paper choices.   Even if you don't find something within your price range, you could certainly learn a lot from the experience!

I just got my invitations from Gem and they turned out great. They were very budget friendly and easy to work with. And the turn around on the invitations was very fast. I contacted Scriptura first but they were up front about the cost and were out of my budget. They have beautiful invitations though!

I'm getting my invitations from Abbey Printing in Gretna. My SIL worked for them and many family members have used them over the years and have been more than pleased with their work.

Gem does good work and is very reasonably priced but I felt the level of service was not very personal.  I am getting my inivtations from Maria at Tupelo Honey.  She custom makes invitations and has lots on options and ideas.  Her shop is on Magazine St. Check it out: www.tupelohoneydesign.com/
