What's new??

Nothing wedding is new for me, but yesterday I found out I'm a finalist for this fellowship I really wanted ( it's for graduating grad students who want government management jobs)!  I'm so excited, and it hopefully makes it easier for me to move to DC with FI soon!

    Congrats Md! How exciting! Then you won't have to listen to Pats fans anymore too :-)

    I have actually made some good progress on my remaining items. My menus, candy bag stickers (for my candy buffet favors), and place cards are ready to be printed. I'll prob do that today and cut them this weekend.

    The programs are also almost ready to be printed, I am just going to make sure about the music first with the organist. After all those are printed I can put them together and I will be almost completely done!

    Other than that, all I will have to do is get candy for the candy buffet (I'm waiting for post valentines day sales), finalizing the girls jewelry, last dress fitting, and refitting for the FI in February (he's lost over 20lbs and is continuing to lose).

    I also started on my FI's scrapbook and I have 6 pages done! It's out of about 40 pages so I have a lot to do still, but I think I can tackle 2 or more pages a night and be done in plenty of time.

    Shew this is getting close :-) Tonight I might even start getting some items together for the honeymoon! Yeay!

    Sari- Your tackling projects left and right congrats! That's awesome your FI is losing so much weight! What's the secret?! I'm thinking about doing yoga or spinning AFTER the wedding. I don't want my body changing before the wedding due to my dress!

    I got our Invite proof in- I love love it! It's the first time i've been excited about the invites! We've had some minor changes in them in the passed week but everything is for the better! Tomorrow night we meet with our Pastor for the first time. I'm excited to get this show on the road! :)

    Congrats MD! That's awesome!

    I sent out our invites, likely too early but I'm starting an ICU rotation in February (read 80 hour work weeks) and I keep having a recuring dream that I show up at our wedding and absolutely nothing is figured out. Plus Match Day is coming up in March which is when we'll find out where we're moving and will then need to find a place in April in our new city/state (All before our May 12th wedding). So I'm trying to get as much as I possibly can done before all of that. Hopefully guests won't mind the early invite.

    Other than that, I'm working on escort cards, ordered tableclothes and runners, and received our aisle runner. We also finalized our ceremony.

    We just booked our honeymoon!!! We're spending two weeks in Spain and visiting Madrid (daytrip to Toledo), Seville (day trip to Cordova), Granada, and Barcelona (day trip to Montserrat). I'M SOOO EXCITED!!

    FI's wedding band also came in!

    I'm going to see another venue on Saturday morning...I'm waiting for that WOW factor and it'll hopefully come soon!  We're planning on April 2013 though so I have a little wiggle room.  I'm excited for the Bridal Show this weekend, too!  Hopefully I'll make some dress appointments for February/March!
