Ren Fest grounds?

Hey everyone! First off, thanks to everyone for suggestions on venues, they were very helpful! Right now I'm between the Profile Event Center (which I've heard great things about) and the Ren Fest grounds. So I was wondering if anyone has used this venue or been to a wedding here? From what I can tell it's decently priced, has an outdoor ceremony venue and indoor reception venue. I do love the Ren Fest but I'm not planning on a full out costume wedding or anything. The main concern I think I have is the Bad Manor. From the pictures it looks like some people sit upstairs? Would that be weird?

Any input on this venue would be great! Thanks!

That's how Loring Pasta Bar is laid out too, having an upper level for additional seating. That could be used as another common area for people to hang out too :-)

I don't think the sitting upstairs aspect would be weird... a lot of venues have slightly separate areas of seating. I think it would actually be a really nice layout.

Be forewarned, though, if you have your wedding at the Renn Fest grounds, you have to be ready for some side-eyes when you tell people where your wedding is. I promise you, 90% of your guests will ask if you're having a theme wedding. I've seen it happen.

Also, I don't think Bad Manor has AC. Depending on when your wedding is, that could be kinda icky.

I was at a wedding there 4 weeks ago. Everyone sat on the lower level. The dinner was some kind of peppered steak. It was really tender and yummy! I think the nice thing about the site is that you don't need to do much for decoration, it really does have just it's own natural beauty. The wait staff was dressed to theme, but it wasn't a themed wedding. They even had a DJ, so it was a lot like other receptions we have been to, just at a much more interesting location. Plus it's far enough out of the city, that later at night when the stars came out, it was absolutely beautiful.
