[QUOTE]In Response to Re: New Bride Here :) : Kristin, if my memory is correct, you said you've been on forums since 17 & I'm assuming you're much older now. Considering that, I'm sure you've been on several types and see all different dynamics. As you can see here, the majorty write out in full sentences and do try to use proper spelling and grammar. There is a spell check tool that's handy for when I'm not sure. I've been on other forums who are much more laid back regarding that & conversations are more like texting. Nothing wrong with either, just different. So, when you try to make a point like you did here, saying "made it look like i spelt something wrong when i didn't," people will correct you because it's "spelled" not "spelt."

Why???  is this a corporate website?  a resume? a letter from an attorney?  for those who want to have zero spelling errors, that's good for them but why call someone out who may have a few mis-spellings b/c they're at work and are rushed to post, most of us do have jobs, real ones!   probably cant say that for most of the women on here w/ their post counts into the thousands who post all DAY LONG!!!!!  maybe its their obsession with TK which makes them overly eager to correct someone b/c TK is THEIR LIFE ------------- /> VERY SAD!!!!!!!

cant make spelling mistakes or type with shortened word
    cant think outside the box
cant call a wedding  a wedding just because the papers are signed
cant buy a knock off dress

are told its rude to think its crazy to spend $$$$$$$$ on one day
are told to post elsewhere when ppl ask a non related Q, even if its still about the wedding day
are told we have to conform to TK normal
are told its tacky to have a CZ

my gosh.. i would be sent to the gillotine for my wedding

  • kristen, just 2 things.  You might want to remove your website link since you have dates, times and locations for everything.  Also, you're very pretty.

    <div>No, it's because we are adults.  </div><div>
</div><div>No one is perfect, but it's pretty pathetic to refuse to even try to communicate like you have a little education.  It's truly embarrassing that people cannot be bothered to try to spell correctly and to scan the post for blatant and obvious errors.  Methinks the excuses are less about going fast and the relaxed forum and more about embarrassment.  </div>

  • Just an observation... it's the people with the worst grammar and spelling in a thread who are also the first to fly off the handle and want to do rude stuff.

    Continue.

[QUOTE]Guess I've had "the knot" account for ages and never thought to go on the forums! haha! Just wanted to introduce myself! ;) My name is Jen. My HUSBAND and I are were married this last January 5th (our 4 year anniversary) at the Seattle Municipal Courthouse. It was very intimate, just my father and two close friends.. we asked our photographer to photograph the ceremony (instead of doing engagement photos) and my cousin video taped the ceremony as well, which we will be playing during our September "wedding". We are really excited to celebrate with 60 of our nearest and dearest! We didn't get to say our personal vows in the courthouse, so we'll be reciting them at our September wedding. We thought it would be great to have them scripted onto a nice paper in which we'll sign (it will resemble a certificate) to frame or put in our memory book later. Time's running up, I get my dress back next week and I'm so excited! How is everyone else doing?

    Hey Jen,
I sent you a personal message. Just wanted to say hello and let you know you're not alone. Oh and don't take the negativity to heart. Some of the posts have been kind of mean. You can do whatever you want and have whatever kind of day you want and call it what you want.
