Snarky Brides

Saturday Morning!

Morning ladies! Am I the only loser up? My doctor has me on bedrest for the weekend and I can't stand laying down anymore, plus H got up to go to work. The good news is that I haven't seen any blood/spotting since the late afternoon yesterday. Trying to stay positive. It is snowing here in NY. What is everyone else up to? I guess I will be doing more laying around today.

Re: Saturday Morning!

  • I'm here! Reading the threads from last night. :)

I need to do some cleaning and stuff today, and I don't want to.  In other news, the dog (Levi) has started eating poop in the backyard. He's never done it before, and I'm kind of at a loss.  I think it's just because it's SO cold outside that he doesn't realize what he's gnawing on is shiit. (He's also not the brightest bulb in the box, by any stretch.)

Anyway.  I'm gald things are going ok for you! I'll keep crossing my fingers for you :)

What kind of dog is Levi? I know he is a mix, but do you know what breeds are in him?
My friend's puggle used to eat poop. My sister's dog ate deer poop. Tongue Out

He's never done it before, so we're kind of stumped.  The only thing I can think of is that it's SUPER cold outside, so the shiit is frozen hard.

    He's a husky/German shepherd mix.

Maybe he thought it was a tootsie roll...lol  That is a nice mix though. He is a cutie. It is snowing here and Sasha was running around in it this morning. She loves it.

This was her trying to catch a snowball.

  • ha.  Puck LOVES the snow, so I hope we get more soon. We only got like an inch or so yesterday.  I haven't seen Levi in the snow yet, so hopefully he likes it too!

Hey hey everyone! Hope you all are having great weekends. We gave back our keys yesterday and officially drive to Georgia tomorrow morning. I can't wait. We are staying at H's parents house tonight. I plan on being lazy all day after moving, cleaning, and running around like crazy the last few days. Steph- eats his shiit. He's crazy about it. I don't remember when it started but it's his one bad habit we have a hard time breaking. I've read if you put pineapple or steak seasoning in their food, it will make his shiit taste bad and he won't like it anymore. Denise- glad to hear you're doing okay. Thinking about you! Edit: steph doesn't eat his shiit. Geno eats his shiit. Sorry steph! Thanks chels!

I think you missed a word but it made me giggle like a 12 year old.

Off to see two more places today!  I hate apartment/duplex hunting.  We checked out the PERFECT place yesterday, 3bd apartment, remodeled, good price, but the heater furnace thing is just one unit in the middle of the kitchen and the living room.  It doesn't have any venting to other rooms, so you need to turn on an electric heater in a bedroom if you'll be in it.  We didn'tw ant to have to mess with that.  I'm so ticked because it was perfect!  We also found a perfect little house but the bathroom and kithchen were pretty small, so that wasn't going to work.  I hate how otherwise perfect places have just one simple thing wrong with them that are dealbreakers.
  • Thanks chels. :-) What are your list of must haves?
    imageBabyFruit Ticker
  • I've been up since 5:15 here.  It is now 8:10.

Going dress shopping today for something to wear at the reception.  Other than that, not crap.

at least a 1 car garage but preferrably 2, 2 bedrooms (3 if there's no more storage space), and farily newer (not super new but a lot of the old stuff here is gross). normal heating and cooling have now been added to the list of must haves haha. a decend sized bathroom. preferrably 800 or less per month. we're not THAT picky, it just sucks cuz most places have one dealbreaker wrong with them but are otherwise perfect.

Yeah I get that. We were lucky in Georgia. We found a kick ass house right away. We did up our budget by $50 though.

</div><div>HOLYCRAP! I know if we moved somewhere else we would get a bigger and nicer house, with way sheaper taxes. We were thinking about PA, but I don't want to commute 1.5 hours. That will make me drive off a cliff. Plus, my clinical license in in NJ, so it is a PITA to transfer it. </div>

  • Denise- I would hate to drive a hour and a half. I had an hour commute once and wanted to scream everyday! We, hopefully, will be able to buy next year. We didn't want to buy in a town we didn't know anything about. We have only been there for 24 hours before we actually move. But I'm so excited for the housing prices. The townhouse we rent just went on sale for 250,000. A 3 bedroom house in our new town is 90,000. I think I've gone to heaven.

  • holy crap, Hike!  That's fantastic. :)

We got really lucky with out house; way below market price. (granted, it was barely appraised at what we bought it for...)  But, taxes in MN are outrageous.  Our house was appraised at $125k and our taxes were just shy of $4k.  In 2011, we actually paid more on taxes (because we had to pay the whole year) than we did on our mortgage principal.  Go figure.

We half toyed with the idea of moving to Central WI for awhile, and I started dreaming like crazy about buying a house there. So much cheaper... and I wouldn't have to pay $150/mo to park at my job. ha
Number, is that a blender/smoothie maker?
    Posted by Denise91980
<div>Yep. But it's like a glorified one. You can actually put in raw, cold veggies, run it for 10 minutes and end up with hot soup.</div><div>
</div><div>Its more or less an industrial mixer. I have a good one at home but like most mixers, you can run it for about a minute or two and then the engine will get too hot.  This thing can run for like 20 minutes straight and it doesn't break. I can also make peanut butter and almond butter in it. </div>
  • Duds, that game looks awesome and Number so does that Vitamix. I kinda want both. I can see myself internet shopping today, as I have nothing better to do. I am tired of laying around and can't clean or do too much. That will be my excuse to purchase unnecessary, but wanted items.

It's rainy and icky here today.  But it's warm, yay! I'm playing puppy referee this morning between Emma and my dad's dogs as they chase eachother around the house.  Then headed to a baby shower this afternoon! I'm excited, it should be a fun day!

  • Can I tell you how shady our property managers are? We moved out and they were telling us they never got out pet deposit when we signed our lease. I found the copy of the check that included out pet deposit and security deposit. They then said it was never cashed and the don't have record of it. I called the bank and it was cashed, a week after it was written. We did our walk through inspection. The lady said three things needed to be fixed and we agreed. We made her sign something because I'm so scared they'd be shady and since we will be in Georgia, charge us all this money for bullshit. They also can't find our initial inspection sheet. Thank god we went through a real estate agent and she has pictures.
