Wedding Woes

What were the "Great Bannings"

that I keep hearing mentioned?

Who was doing the bannings? Why?

One minute people would be here, and the next...poof...gone.

The Knot was deleting people for being mean.

The Knot changed stuff around after beebee brides complained and they got stricter.  They wanted only wedding talk and anyone not complying got banned and to top it off, when you'd log in, you'd be automatically sent to The Nest.

They didn't want the married people on these pages anymore.

I was under the impression that we scared off enough people with, you know, honesty about black wedding shoes and the dollar dance that the Knot God sent a banning flood to get rid of the scourges.

I was spared because I was away on vacation or something.  I came back one day and didn't recognize anyone.

The great bannings were after the board became wedding woes.  We had been Relationships, they got rid of it so we took over WW.  It got to the point anytime someone said something slightly snarky all of a sudden the Knotzis would ban them.  People would start making alter egos and coming back.  By the end they had banned at least 20 or so people.  So Bucks created the spin off board.  Not everyone came though.

I think the only reason I survived was because I wasn't married yet so technically I should have still been here.  Silly knotzies.

I survived........because my new husband and I were moving from one coast to the other.  I came back and was like, whaaaaaaaa?

    LOL!!!

I got banned once... and it was such a proud moment!

I'm still not 100% sure why it happened but I may have made someone cry in their beebee shoes.

No one ever figured out why I survived (my  name change had to do w/ stalkings, not bannings)...

They also kept assuring us they'd clarify the rules (YEAH RIGHT) and that we shoud have *known* somehow that one deleted post was a warning and the 2nd was a banning, even though they never explained it.

And part of the hue and cry about it was because they'd ban peope for 'being mean' (which wasn't against the rules) but not for being vendors (which was against the rules)
(might explain my hatred toward knut vendor posts)

Gah, who did they ban or "punish" for writing \#/ a few months ago?  Wasn't it E?  Ha.

I have no clue why I was never banned.  I was pretty mean on my local board, especially when people complained about WW and P&E.

I did have a sockpuppet login, but I never had to use it for long.  I think it was called ThinMint.

I made it through, like MrsOh, because I wasn't married. But I was also a beebee myself.
