So i've been MIA for about a week now. Jeremy and I ended our engagement, we're just from two different worlds. The last week has been an absolute nightmare. I'm moving back to MA to be with my friends and family i dont even have my own bed in nyc to sleep on, so it's definitely for the best that i go home now.

I wanted to say good bye and good luck with all your wedding plans. It was a blast chatting with you. I might pop in later tonight, so this is probably a P&R.

I'm so sorry this has happened, but then again not. I'm happy you made this realization before you were married. I'm happy you are saving yourself from a lifetime of heart ache. I'm happy you are doing what is best for you despite how hard it is.

This is a very difficult decision, but it is a good decision to make. Go home. Find your roots. Find your happiness and go back into the world and make it so much better b/c you are there.

Ditto everyone else's responses. A wise friend once told me that every time you have a break up, the next relationship will be a better one. A relationship is probably the last thing you are thinking about right now, but the point is that there is someone else out there that you will find happiness with. For now, get comfort from friends and family and enjoy some "Lauren time".

lauren, i'm sorry to hear this but am so awed by your courage and honesty. a close friend of mine went through the same thing just over a year ago. sounds like you have a strong family and friend support base. and boston will welcome you home with open arms i'm sure. totally understand if you don't want to come back and visit the board, but we're all here for you. we'll be thinking of you. best of luck
