Scruffy Facial Hair for the Groom

We are planning a casual wedding, summer, outdoors, with tented/inside reception.  We're going with the casual summer theme and want our guests to be comfortable and have fun above all else.  The question is...  is it ok if the groom is scruffy for the wedding?  I prefer him with the scruff, he's a 5 o'clock shadow one hour after he shaved kind of guy and he looks a lot younger clean shaven.  He prefers it.  The problem is that I'm sure some of the rents will have a problem with it.  Do we go for it anyway or is it pretty tacky? Thanks!

    can it be groomed scruff, like with clean barbered lines around the neck, so it looks intentional? I think that would be great, and if your fiance looks like that most of the time anyway he should look like him for the wedding

    If he usually keeps his facial hair scruffy and that's how you both like it...then I feel like there's no question here like mentioned in PP. The 'rents will learn to get over it! ;) It's your day and you both should look like dressed up versions of yourself.

    My fiance will probably have scruffy facial hair too--and we're having a formal indoor evening wedding!

    Who cares? If he likes it, you like it, it looks fine in pictures, it doesn't matter what people think.

    Besides, if it's a normal look for him, they're probably all used to it anyway.

    Just like you on your wedding day, your groom should also look like himself. Don't try to be someone your not - it will weird people out. Plus, I think scruff is SEXY! My fancer is keeping the scruff, and we're both completely okay with that!

    I'm pro-scruff! My groom will want to be clean-shaven but - I'd prefer a little shadow! :-)
