There are lots of us! There was a poll a while back, and if I remember right the 20th is the most popular among the girls active at the time. The 13th and 6th were pretty close behind tho.

I'm also a 10.20.2012 bride!

My FI chose the date because he liked the way it sounded, then when I found this board I discovered it is also Sweetest Day! I dont think people in my area celebrate that (PA?) but it was still a neat bonus!

Me! I liked the way it sounded and it was on a Saturday. My FMIL was the one who told me about Sweetest Day. I had never heard of it either.

I am! I was also ignorant of the "sweetest day" date. I've never celebrated it, so it doesn't seem that important. It is more like a cute little extra! I'm so so so very excited. I also think that 10/20/2012 looks nice when written out. We picked the date because the venue we loved was available!

I was actually kind of pissed when I found out it was sweetest day. I hate that holiday, it's so made up by Hallmark and card companies to make more money. We have Valentine's day, thats enough.

I never knew it was the Sweetest Day until one of the girls on here told a few of us. Pretty neat. I gave FI the dates I liked and this was the day he picked...probably the only wedding planning he will be doing. haha

I'm a 10-20-2012 bride too! Originally it was our last choice date. but now I'm so excited that's what we picked. Based on our dating anniversary, we will have been dating for 7 years, 7 months, 7 days before getting married- I was so so so excited when I figured that out!

I too am a 10-20-12 bride! I picked this date because it was my Grandmother's birthday. She raised me as a child, and sadly she passed away in 2006. It is my way of honoring her since she is unable to be with me.

That's my date, too! Had no idea there was a "sweetest day" - will definitely have to incorporate that into my planning!

We live in New England and are hoping there's still some nice foliage around that weekend!
