Reviews 8/8/2010 wedding

The Primavera Regency- Stirling, NJ
Absolutely amazing. We dealt with either Christina, or Joe(i think that was his name). They executed everything perfectly. Steve was on vacation so we had Amad as our matre'd and he was so attentive. Always had food for us and drinks in our hands. He helped fix my bustle when it came undone. All of our guest are still raving about the place and the food. We did a cocktail hour reception, and that was a huge hit. They made my cake, which I love and was a little disappointed in. They made everything they could latosse free for my FI.

Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church- Middlesex, NJ
The church was beautiful. We lucked out with Deacon John, and everything went off without a hitch on the day. However it was a complete nightmare to deal with before then. If we didnt have Deacon John's personal number, Idk if we would have gotten married there.

D&G Limo
We got an amazing deal on the limo. We ended up getting the Chrysler 300 Onyx. Mike, our driver, really did an amazing job with the red carpet service. He was there right next to us the whole time at church. Whether it was bringing the flowers in, to offering water, opening the doors for church when I walked down the aisle. Highly recommend them.

Eloquent Studios- Madison/Flaunders, NJ
Walter and his assistant were great. He came on a little pushy in the beginning, but looking back thank god he did cause we would never have made it out the door on time.He also got us done with pictures before the cocktail hour, so we were able to be with our guest.  They showed us shots through out the day of what we were getting. I cant wait to see the proofs. More reviews to come.

Boardwalk Photo Booth- (Eloquent studios runs them)
This was the best thing of the night. It was so much fun. The photos came out great. You got a strip of 4 photos. The guy running the booth was funny and encouraging people to get crazy. We got a copy of every photo of the night, and our guest got one too. Our copy went into a scrapbook which our guest wrote in. This acted as our favors for our guest (they printed more than just two copies if you asked), and a guest book for us.  The best part was being handed the book at the end of the night.

Dash of Class - DJ
Vito was the man. We were the easiest people to work with because we gave him total freedom. They had to tell people to sit down and eat. Otherwise the whole night there was a group on the dance floor, from ages 80+ down to 11 years old. We got the lighting package too and it was fun to watch the colors change in the room. (vito asked me at the beginning of the night what color i wanted the room to be and I told him "whatever fits the mood"

Rose Petals and Lace - Flowers
I loved all the flowers. Jill made it easy to decide what I wanted. I do wish that I had done a trail for my bouquet though. She was reasonably priced and everything came out perfect. She did my bouquet, three bridesmaids, mother flowers, the guys and two alter vases. Highly recommend them.

Island Bridal - Manahawkin, nj
I travelled far to get my dress because this shop is run by Jennifer. She and the seamstress made me feel comfortable and at home. Got it for an amazing price. It came in early and was perfect. Debbie the seamstress did a wonderful job taking in my dress. it was worth the trip, and my mom and I got a beach day out of it on LBI.

Demetrios- Menlo Park Mall.
We got my bridesmaid dresses and MOB dress there. They all came in on time and no issues. We didnt get them altered there. The women in the salon were very helpful.

DLM Designs- All paper
Devon was amazing at getting all the paper for my wedding done. She worked with me on everything and made changes when needed. She did my calligraphy too. Everything had a theme and we carried it through everything. I loved everything she did. Helps that she is my sister too.

Anthony B- Mac Make-up
He was amazing. He did my makeup even more outstanding the day of the wedding. He also came to me and did all my girls and mothers. Our makeup  stayed all night, except the lips (but that is expected)

Ashley C- The day spa at Hair Plus
She came to me and did all of my girls, my mom and my hair with more then enough time to spare. We all looked amazing. The tight curls did fall at some point but fell in a way that it looked even better.

Bridgewater Marriott- Hotel
We had our ups and downs with them. We got the shuttle for our guest, but had to pay the shuttle company x amount. Our guest loved it, and we got an amazing price per room. You do have to be on top of them, because the coordinator is at their corporate office and not on site. we ran into a few problems with the desk people saying they hadnt heard of our room block.  Although it all worked out, it was frustrating.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reviews! We're using the Bridgewater Marriott as well and I'm not sure what you mean by needing to pay the shuttle company? We were told that if we booked 11 rooms or more in our block that the shuttle was included. If you could give me additional info that'd be great. Thanks!

We used the Bridgewater Marriott as well and dealt with Camille. We really had no major issues, we got the shuttle w/ 11 booked rooms and our room was complimentary for the wedding night (only issue was that we had to remind them I think 3 times to refund our credit card for the room- so make sure you keep on top of them. I think they were confused since MH stayed there the night before the wedding as well, they thought maybe they'd get out of having to comp us a room). They do a really nice set up behind the check in desk for OOT bags and even printed up their own fliers for them (even though we had our own already) notifying the guests about the shuttle etc.

I was nervous about the shuttles being on time, etc. since they were a company that the hotel uses (they are in no way affiliated w/ the Marriott) but the shuttles were GREAT! We had 4 trips each way and they were always on time. This was such a nice bonus to have instead of having to arrange our own transportation to and from the hotel.

Oh excellent. Glad to hear you had a good experience with the shuttles.

Did you pay extra for 4 trips each way? We only have 2 each way included but if you think it's worth it to pay for the extra 2 we wouldn't be opposed to it.  Thanks!

I am using the Marriott there - I believe you are referring to the one in Basking Ridge (?) and have had such issues with them.  You deal with so many different people and everyone tells you something different.  Lots of back and forth but we finally got the rooms settled and the shuttle.  They threw in last minute that they wanted to charge us extra although we had the 10 rooms booked for the shuttle (I see some of you were told 11?!) because we needed the shuttle for more than 5 hours.  My entire wedding - ceremony and all is at the Primavera, so 5 hours would not even be feasible by the time the wedding ended.  That seems to be straightened out now, but GL to anyone that uses them..they were a nuisance!

We used the Bridgewater Marriott, not the one in liberty Corner.  We had 15 room block, we had a junior bridal suite comped for us. and we had two shuttles, maybe three (not sure have to talk to the rents they handled it.) We had to pay the shuttle company $200.
Sherrie- It may have been because we were "too far away", even though were were in a ten mile radius to the hotel. I'll get more info from my rents and send it your way.

The shuttles from and two the reception were great..people loved it.

I love reviews!  I think this is the only one I've personally seen so far where the limo company got a favorable review!

    Congrats on the marriage!

No we didn't pay extra... maybe it's because our reception venue was only 6 or so miles from the hotel? Not sure... but 4 shuttles each way was what we were told. I wasn't going to argue with that! Are you getting your room comped as well? Maybe they have different negotiations w/ different wedding venues? That's weird though. The Bridgewater Marriott was our venue's "preferred" OOT hotel so maybe that had something to do with it. Good luck!
