NWPR: Why Are Some People So Fake?

I have been dealing with some seriously fake people lately and it is really annoying.

First situation is the girl who has her classroom next to mine.  We talk several times a day and are about the same age.  I had hoped at the beginning of the year we would be friends, but we are not.  I hear about all these things her and her husband put on (in a town of 150) and I am not invited.  One night at the bar I was talking with her, and when her friends showed up, she totally ditched me.  Not cool.  Why be my friend when it's convenient or you want something?

Second situation is a girl I met through mutual friends last Fall.  She was wanting to be BFF's when she was dating this guy who is a friend of BF and me.  When she broke up with him, she said she still wanted to be friends, but she "is too busy" to answer text messages unless they are to her benefit.  Saturday night I went out with her ex and we went to where she works.  Not to see her, it's just one of the only bars in town.  She saw us and rolled her eyes.  She came to ask if I wanted to buy a shot and when I said no, she walked away.  She then posted something on her FB yesterday saying "some people just don't get it, why wont they go away?!?"

Ugh, sorry. Long vent.  Why do people have to be that way?

Re: NWPR: Why Are Some People So Fake?

  • Some people never outgrow high school.  Remember the plastics?

People suck.  That's all I've got.
  • That is defnitely both of these people. Sometimes it seems like people who are plastic as adults are trying to be what they wanted to be in high school, but weren't.

  • Ugh, I hate those people.  The ones who were high school nerds and try to pretend like they weren't.  Dude, it's ok to be a dork.  Just own it.
  • This is why I think the whole world should implement the one-punch-a-month rule. Everyone gets one, free-of-consequences, justifiable punch to dole out as they please a month.

I'm totally not into violence at all, but sometimes I think everyone would like to give out a pop or two when things just suck.

  • I'll second the one punch a month rule.  As long as it can never be retaliated and inflicted upon me

I like the one punch a month rule..but I would get punched a lot.

I hate people like that. I have this girl who used to be my friend and now she's not, it's a long story. I don't hate her, but I don't like her. She was having a party. Not that I expected to be and not that I would ever go, but then she invited people that she had only ever met because of me! Very close friends of mine that would never associate with her unless it was through me. Obviously, she just wanted to say "I'm having a party and you aren't invited." Which is cool, it made her look really mature in the eyes of all our mutual friends.
  • Hm, I never really thought about retaliation. But, you know, I'm weirdly okay with taking a punch now and then for the opportunity to put a wallop on people who agitate the crap out of me.

Lady who cut me off this morning...I'm looking squarely at you...

This sounds like a most excellent plan.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
