I keep having sad wedding dreams where I end up missing my own wedding!  The one I had last night involved a lot of people showing up, but at the wrong time!

I can't decide whether to ship my dress or carry it on the plane with me... bridal salon recommends shipping it... I need to make a decision!

I did an airbrush tan yesterday since we're having our engagement party tomorrow night... and it looks great, but it WAY darker than I was expecting.  I just hope that some of it fades off before tomorrow night!

bsn- I am sure you might already know but a couple tricks mix just a teaspoon of rubbing alcohol in with your body wash and try that also exfoliate a couple times but be sure to do it evenly both of those have worked for me in the past when it was either too dark or I had slotchies.

Eggplant burgers on Monday night sucked, the watermelon juice was just okay, enchiladas last night were pretty good and tonight I am making Zucchini Alfredo.

I deleted my facebook account after getting a friend request from an aunt that went BSC a couple of years ago.  I've been meaning to do it but hoped that because I haven't been on in a year+, it would delete itself.

Oh short girl... does BSC stand for bat-sheet-crazy??? If so, HOW FUNNY!  I lol'd... for real. :)

And Bobbileigh - I didn't know that! But I will be trying to tonight.  You should see the looks I'm getting from my co-workers...

LLC, if you're looking for one on the cheap, FI's selling his.  I believe it's one of the fax, scanner, all-in-ones.

shortgirl - You are a miracle worker - I had no idea neosporin worked on acne.  It looks so much better - THANK YOU!

bsn - also I think baking soda helps fade your tan.

My address stamp came in, so now I can get my invites out - very exciting.  Last night I stamped all our RSVP envelopes.  So, slowly but surely.  :)

Toothpaste also helps fade a fake tan... the whitening kind.  Probably because of the whitening ingredients in it, but I'm not sure which ones.

I am SO ready for the weekend!!!  My best friend's shower is Saturday (that I am hosting, along with some other ladies), and then mine is Sunday!  A little part of me is very worried that nobody will come.

The post office finally found our wedding albums and we got them on Monday.  Seriously, gorgeous!!

I need a job that I'm passionate about.  I work for a good company and money and benefits are not a problem.... but the problem is I'm not challenged at all.    Does anyone on this board genuinely love their job/company?  If so, are they hiring? LOL

Brianna- Did you get a Salas Tan?

I use the neosporin trick for big ones, they're basically infections so it makes sense, I guess.

I've also heard lemon juice for tans, but rubbing alcohol may be stronger.

We have been waiting until I get a job to book the honeymoon, because I don't know what kind of vacation time, etc. I'll have. And, I want to wait until Jan/Feb to go because I want to see the whales in Hawaii. But I'm really tempted to just go ahead and book it, and if I get a job, just make my being able to go on my honeymoon an agreement when I get hired.

    Posted by Tiffany618[/QUOTE]

Yep, I sure did.  I went the first time on Sunday, and I had a line down the inside of both of my legs, but the tan looked great otherwise.  I'm sure it's because of how hot it was that day...

But I went back (they offered to fix the lines) yesterday... and I guess because I was already a shade darker than normal, (and it was a different girl this time) they made me another shade darker!!!  So now, the normally pasty me, looks like I spent the last week in Jamaica or somewhere super sunny!!

But the thing is, the tan still looks awesome, and very natural... it's just WAY darker than I normally am.

I have been out of work for two and a half years and finally starting a part time job tomorrow.  I sure have liked staying home, but am nervous and anxious to start something new.  It isn't what I was doing for my profession, but it will bring money in the door!

Tiffany, I know your feeling about not being challenged.  What type of work do you do?

Oh yikes!!   I think maybe the best way to fade it evenly would be to do something they tell you avoid.   Like go swimming or go for a run and sweat.   They say chlorine or sweating will naturally exfoliate your tan.

Good Luck, you could always tell everyone you took a secret beach vacation ! :)

Chelsea - I don't know what shade... they do color matching based on your skin tone... I will try to take pictures, but I don't know if you'll be able to tell very well in the pics.

Tiffany - I'm going to looooooofah today!  :)  Hopefully it won't be as dark!

Mine is more of a B&M but since its SA here I go

I have a report that will run at 2 today.  I already had 135 items left to finish for that report and my boss throws about 100 more items to the report for me to finish all by 2.  Well then she keeps emailing me little things that need to get done too.  Do you want me to work on the report items or all the little items?  Just frustrating when I'm already behind because of a stupid migraine last week and layoffs the week before so here I am scrambling and she keeps piling crap on.  There are 2 other co-workers who are caught up.  Let them do the b!tch work so I can get this report finished!!

ok, two things. First, I totally had some weird freak out moment last night. I woke up screaming at the top of my lungs (not yelling, SCREAMING)... hahaha you should have seen the straight FEAR in FI'S eyes when I was immediately apologizing and trying to calm him down.

Second, I'm trying on dresses on Sunday for the first time. I'm nervous because she said "If you are modest, you need to wear a strapless bra and you need to wear panties." I am very modest so this should be interesting!
Disclaimer: Please excuse the above comment. I'm probably freaking out because there is less than one month to go. Thank you.

I have to close today....I'm seriouslly tired of the retail scene and need a new job :( So does my FI....he needs one more than me.

I'm brain dead-I'm feeling overwhelmed with everything. I feel like I can't be stress free until everything is done. :(

Ok.  that is weird.  I have worn panties to EVERY dress trying on session I have had!  Are there people that don't??  Ew! :)

I know this isn't the first time that is being said...but my mother is driving me crazy.

I want her to be happy and excited for all of the aspects of the wedding, but instead I feel like she judges everything and is negative all the time. Snaps at me way too fast and doesn't listen to what I'm saying. I feel selfish for wanting her attention because of the situation with my gradmother, but shouldn't this be an exciting time in her life....shouldn't she be thrilled! Her only daughter getting married...don't mom's live for this stuff?

    ..end rant/vent....

LOL - I wore panties when I went to try on dresses.  ;)  Also, if you are modest have the consultant get the dress ready outside of the fitting room and hand it to you, then step into it and pull it up and have her come in just to zip/lace/etc.  Usually they ask you how you would prefer their help.

Anna - my co-worker brought it up when he was in the final interviews.  He just said - I'm getting married in a month (his was destination), so I'll be gone for a week.  Is that okay?  They can either say yes or no.  :)  I think if they really are interested in you - it won't be a big deal.  Life happens.

Tifanny - what would you like to be doing?
  • edited December 2011

Lacey- I don't know... something dynamic.

I'll have my MBA in December and my current job is the only one of its kind in the country for our company.  I don't have a team or anyone here who does anythign remotely similar to me, so it's like I work alone... which is good and bad.

Also, since I'm the only one, there is no way for me to move up unless I move to where our headquarters is in New Jersey, which isn't gonna happen.  I could move into operations here, but that's not really desirable for me in my industry.

I'm looking to get into something headquartered here so I can have some better mobility options in the future.
